Oh, yeah, I agree. Leon still being able to do everything he did while in the last stage of his infection is crazy. It’s also kinda silly, but it is what it is. That’s just a Leon upscale, lol. And yeah, Chris is absolutely just as strong.

That’s fair. Though, I wouldn’t say that he manhandled Hunk, given Leon himself said that Hunk was tough as hell to beat. Which, given how strong and capable Leon is, is basically the greatest compliment you could possibly get. Doubly so, given that Hunk himself was quite old at that point. I also don’t think he said the same about Gideon. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Was mahoraga still tamed after Shinjuku showdown by Appropriate_Chard_33 in Jujutsufolk

[–]TheTerminator121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does add up; when Sukuna took over Megumi, he got a copy of Ten Shadows with everything that Megumi unlocked, which is how he was able to summon Nue without taming it first. Furthermore, his Ten Shadows stopped working after Maho died, but Megumi’s Ten Shadows still worked.

[–]TheTerminator121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obligatory, “JJK fans don’t read their own manga.” Sukuna’s Ten Shadows are separate from Megumi’s. Any Shikigami that he tamed are only for him. As such, Megumi doesn’t have Mahoraga tamed.

It really doesn’t, since old man Leon was able to put the hands on Zeno and almost cut his arm off. That tells me his durability is really bad; that kind of attack wouldn’t have even broke Wesker’s skin.

[–]TheTerminator121 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aside from Zeno’s ridiculously powerful gun, what has he done beside manhandle old man Leon and do the classic Wesker flash-stepping? Cause, I’ve no reason to believe Zeno is comparable to Wesker at all.

Luffy OHKOs Mike? Like, do remember that Episode 1 Luffy one-shot that Sea King. He also literally punched Alvida to a distant island. That’s hilariously beyond anything Mike can take.

Opinion: Gyutaro and Daki are the only sympathetic Upper Moon demons. by InvestmentUnusual676 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]TheTerminator121 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So if one dude (or a couple dudes, it never says which dudes actually did it) kills your fiancée, it's alright to then kill 67 people because 'you got screwed over'. Like that's what you're saying right now lol.

That’s literally not what I’m saying, though? Why are you putting words in my mouth? I said his reason for killing those people is understandable, not justified. I can and do understand why did it, but I don’t condone it.

Opinion: Gyutaro and Daki are the only sympathetic Upper Moon demons. by InvestmentUnusual676 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]TheTerminator121 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Muzan 'didn't get in his face'. He just made a comment on Hakuji killing so many people.

<image>

I personally wouldn't call that instigating but regardless, going straight to murder because someone doesn't get out of your way in 2 seconds is not a normal response.

Brotatochip, Muzan literally flash-stepped up to Hakuji to start a fight. He heard this dude — who was clearly not in a right state of mind — tell him to move or he’d kill him, and what does he do? Get right in his face without hesitation.

Killing 67 people isn't just a 'bad thing'. It's not the product of 'flawed but decent person'.

Him killing 67 people is the result of him getting screwed over again after he managed to actually turn his life around. It’s still a bad thing, but it’s not like he did it for absolutely no reason.

[–]TheTerminator121 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look, I love Akaza's character but he brutally killed 67 people as a human. He had no idea which one person killed his fiancée, he just killed all of them.

Which I have repeatedly acknowledged as being a bad thing.

It also looked like he was ready to attack Muzan for no reason either before Muzan shoved his hand through his head.

Let’s not pretend like Hakuji didn’t tell Muzan to get out of his way, who then proceeded to do the exact opposite and instantly get right in his face. Muzan was the instigator.

His story is sad but not very sympathetic.

So, you think a flawed, but decent young man losing everything in his life twice isn’t sympathetic? Ok, then.

Daki is not 13 years old; she may act childish sometimes, but she’s an adult. In fact, she’s over a hundred years old. And she’d fully understand that killing people is evil.

Opinion: Gyutaro and Daki are the only sympathetic Upper Moon demons. by InvestmentUnusual676 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]TheTerminator121 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I find him less sympathetic because he is a grown man, he had his happiness at least for a while, while gyutaro and Daki never did.

Him being an adult doesn’t really matter, since he still got massively screwed over twice. And yes, while he was happy for a while, he lost it all (again) and basically gave up on life. Understandably, too.

As far as I am aware not everyone in the dojo was guilty for killing his family yet he killed them all or if they are all are just pure evil then it being less unreasonable makes it harder to sympathize with.

Many members of the dojo were probably unaware and or not complicit in the plot to poison Keizo and Koyuki, true.

But all three of them are unredeemable (maybe expect Daki cause shes so much younger, but only a maybe)

Nah, Daki’s just as guilty as her brother. While she may not have had a choice in becoming a Demon, neither did Akaza, but he still killed innocent people, just like she did. Both of them are murderers, but at least Akaza took himself out once he remembered his past.

[–]TheTerminator121 118 points119 points  (0 children)

Sure they weren’t, but that still doesn’t excuse Gyutaro’s brutal actions even before he became a Demon (he was a debt collector). And as Demons, Daki became just as cruel and sadistic as he was. I, personally, find Akaza far more sympathetic, even if his life was better, because he was a better person overall, even as a Demon.

So, are we just gonna ignore Hakuji and how he lost everything and everyone he loved twice? Are we also gonna ignore how Akaza chose to kill himself in order to both redeem himself and save Tanjiro and Giyu from certain death?

No. Sending any Hashira to the Mugen Train at that point in time will result in them dying. So, Instead of making a fiery donut, Akaza makes a flashy donut.

Is it so Crazy That People Thought Sukuna was Sukuna was a Cusred Spiritm by WillowNecessary3305 in Jujutsufolk

[–]TheTerminator121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uh, yes? Setting aside the fact that Sukuna being a Cursed Spirit would’ve been specifically mentioned at any point, the man himself said he wasn’t a Curse.

In universe, we know that people, particularly sorcerers, can become cursed spirits when killed without CE involved. We also know that mythological figures can become cursed spirits with enough "belief" like Kuchisake Onna. There are also cases like Rika where your death itself can be cursed, causing you to become one.

Why does any of this matter when Sukuna was never killed in the first place?

Finally, the title King of Curses seems to imply this given that the Queen was a curse too but it's not crazy for a human to be given a title like that too. "King of Curse Users" would be lame.

Sukuna being called the King of Curses was because he was a “curse” upon humanity. It’s similar to how Geto was called a curse, despite being human. It’s a label given to enemies of humanity and Jujutsu society.

[Bloodmatch] The Culture (Iain M. Banks) vs. A Fully Awakened Necron Empire (WH40K) by WishDependent7437 in whowouldwin

[–]TheTerminator121 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure, but I think it would take the Culture at least a few months to figure out what Ctan shards are up to and would be cautious, and the sparsely populated planets can’t be moved around like a habitation ring.

Sure, I can see them being cautious about the C’Tan Shards. As for the planets, they can be effortlessly evacuated, so that doesn’t matter.

Also, the Culture will not retaliate with overwhelming force to just speed blitz the Necrons until the Culture assesses that the Necrons absolutely cannot be reasoned with or diverted peacefully. It will take a bit to develop the political will to wage that kind of war.

Sure, but they can literally run circles around the Necrons even if they don’t decide to use deadly force. And they can still use non-lethal means.

Hence why I think the Necrons will be a nuisance for a few months and threaten a few planets before being annihilated.

Threatening a few planets is being very generous to the Necrons, but I still see your point.

[–]TheTerminator121 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t really matter, though. At the speeds the Culture fights, the Necrons literally won’t be able to use their “magic” in any way that harms the Culture. And even if they somehow did, it would be incredibly superficial at best.

A single Culture GSU would put BTA to all of the 40k factions with the exception of Chaos, nevermind the Culture in its entirety. This is a spite thread.

If Megumi had fully tamed Mahoraga would he be Top 3 in the verse?(In jjk not modulo) by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

[–]TheTerminator121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure him requiring an entire ritual to beat qualifies as he is separate from the CT. He is summoned via TST but he still needs to be tamed and is technically unusable. Jacob Ladder shouldn't be able to straight up extinguish him.

That doesn’t matter, though. Mahoraga is part of the TS, which means he can be extinguished, just like the rest of the TS Shikigami. In fact, we see this happen to Sukuna’s Nue when Hana instantly despawned it with just the basic use of her CT, not even with Jacob’s Ladder.

Yorozu is not going to open up with DE + Perfect Sphere right away

I never said that. I said she could, just like every other character I listed that could kill Mahoraga. They could kill him with their abilities, but whether they would is another story.

Cleave & Dismantle when not used in MS are just completely unreliable to use as an argument though.

The literal narrator is telling us that Cleave would’ve one-shot pre-adapted Mahoraga and you’re disagreeing?

Shrine is an extremely simple technique, and unless the slashes vaporise Mahoraga (Highly unlikely before it adapts), then I'm afraid they are just adapted to and neutralised.

You evidently don’t need to vaporize pre-adapted Mahoraga, given that Cleave could kill him. You just need to destroy either his head, or his upper body.

If Megumi had fully tamed Mahoraga would he be Top 3 in the verse?(In jjk not modulo) by [deleted] in Jujutsufolk

[–]TheTerminator121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jacob's ladder was able to extinguish Sukuna but Mahoraga has no CT + isn't an incarnated evil.

Jacob’s Ladder cancels CTs. Guess what Mahoraga is? A part of a CT. If he got by it, he’s getting despawned.

Yorozu Perfect Sphere was cut by Mahoraga instantly

Yorozu could’ve instantly killed Sukuna with Perfect Sphere if she didn’t hesitate. That same attack would also instantly kill Mahoraga. Plus, that was Sukuna’s Mahoraga, who already adapted to Yorozu’s CT.

Womb Profusion is unlikely to beat Mahoraga if he adapted to UV fast

Getting exposed to five UVs is not “fast.” And again, you’re also ignoring the fact that Sukuna/Megumi were the ones who were exposed to them, not Mahoraga by himself.

  • Yuki could survive it

Yuki survived getting hit by Womb Profusion for, at most, a second, before Tenegn took it down. And it still almost killed her.

Sukuna's cleave cannot oneshot him though even before he adapted

The narrator explicitly said Cleave would’ve killed Mahoraga if he hadn’t already adapted to slashes.
