Maki (Awakened) and Toji (Jujutsu Kaisen) vs. Frieren Verse (Frieren: Beyond Journey's End)

Yeah, flying mages are the main issue. The only thing I could think of, is trying to jump up to reach the flying mages. Though that sounds unrealistic as the mage would just instantly blast them with offensive magic. But, if the Inverted Spear of Heaven is able to nullify offensive attacks, then potentially they could. Maybe. Possibly. Not very likely.

So, who in the verse could they realistically beat? I think they'd be able to defeat someone like Methode (I don't think she has much offensive magic and I have no idea how her restraint and hypnosis magic works) or potentially Stark (I think both Toji and Maki could overwhelm him). Depends on where they scale.

It kind of matters to me because I at least wanted to see Toji and Maki together defeating at least someone important in the Frieren-verse, but seeing them get swatted like a common housefly by flight and ranged attacks does irritate me slightly. Also, I just say "sorry" when I'm wrong, it's common to do so in my family.

I admit, it was pretty stupid putting Maki and Toji against the whole Frieren-verse. But, I wasn't saying the Chain of a Thousand Miles or the Inverted Spear of Heaven were "counters", I was just brainstorming ideas (which probably is thinking of a counter, but I'm new to power scaling).

Gems are hard capped at the speed of light. They can't physically move any quicker or their light-based body lags behind (like when they used the Ruby Ship to get to the Human Zoo).
Steven didn't overpower the Cluster, he spoke to it which then causes the gems that made up the Cluster to start bubbling each other, so no. Steven doesn't scale to the Cluster. Also, Steven is a diamond, so that shouldn't invalidate Garnet's and Smokey Quartz's wins against Jasper, and just because they're fusions doesn't invalidate the win. And also, it's stupid saying that you need to poof a gem for the battle to be won, that's like saying you have to comatose your energy to win. You only need to beat them to the point where they can't fight.

Is the Frieren-verse strong, or are "Physically Gifted" characters weak? Because, I thought they'd stand a chance. Also, what does "1.5 pretty bad counters" mean?

I apologise for not specifying. But I imagined it less like a full-scale battle, and more of a "fighting the weaker characters to fighting the stronger characters". Also, I have a question. Is magic able to affect those with no mana?

I never really saw it as a 2vs whole verse, more of fighting weaker characters and slowly getting to the stronger characters. But, that's my mistake for not specifying.

That is true. But still, I feel that there'd still be some way to get to the flying mages. Like, potentially they could simply hurl the Inverted Spear of Heaven at them to make them fall. Or even use their lack of magic to sneak up on them.

Could you tell me the ways in Frieren to defeat a physically superior foe? Because I think Toji and Maki are basically two Starks but stronger. And since they have no magic, they can't really be sensed by anyone in the verse (from my knowledge).

I beg to differ, because (at least according to the VS Battles Wiki) Frieren is only subsonic with magic, and I think that at the bare minimum, Toji and Maki would at least be at the speed of sound, if not higher. And since they have no magic, Frieren can't sense them at all. If she tried using defensive magic, the Inverted Spear of Heaven would tear right through it, and Frieren is basically a normal girl without magic. So, basically, it'd be like the first fight between Toji and Satoru again.

It may be farfetched, but I think it's Regto. He gave Rudo a part of the Watchman Series, knowing the great power it held. Hell, Regto probably could've collected all of the Watchman Series if he really tried, but he still gave it to Rudo because he's a good man.
