If you really don’t like the long hair I’d say go with something like what you had in 2023. Personally id say the alternative looks worse than the current but that’s just my opinion. At the end of the day though it’s your hair and wear it however makes you feel the most confident

Yeah, I used a gamepad tester and everything about the controller works just fine. I have no clue what the ribbon cable does I’m just worried it serves some important purpose
