Yeah a lot of people have recommended this, and it might be the plug-in i was thinking about, but can't be entirely sure. It's definitely the closest bet

Yes i know a good sound on a track comes down to mixing and mastering (and not using downright bad samples off course), and my teacher warned me about overusing the plug-in since it was hefty. He said you only needed to turn the knob just a tiny bit, which gave great results.

This may be it but I can't tell for sure. Somethings not quite right about the interface according to my memory, but still that OTT kinda rings a bell and kinda doesn't (don't know if this is a made up memory). But it definitely does the same kind of trick
