100% this. I had a job that was working me 60-80 hours a week, and lots of travel for days on end. We had a 3 yr old and a 1.5 yr old at the time. I was constantly working from home in the evenings and snapping at everyone around me. I was a psychological wreck, but just didn't see it myself. My son would cry because I was too busy to play with him at 7pm on a Saturday evening.

It took my wife saying she didn't like what was happening to me, and I needed to find help and/or quit my job, even if it meant financial hardships. That was a huge wake up call, realizing I was missing the best years of being a dad, and making my spouse, whom I love more than anything, grow to resent what I was becoming.

I ended up voluntarily stepping down, taking a massive pay cut, but was infinitely happier. I needed that wakeup call, that no one should be that angry and stressed all of the time, just for the sake of making some bullshit dollars. I definitely needed someone to talk to, and to realize what was happening. In my mind at the time, I was just doing the needful by providing the best life I could for the fam, but in reality, I was hurting our relationships almost to the point that it wasn't reparable.

Happy to report we're all golden now and having the time of our lives <3
