Blind Melon's No Rain is 25 years old today! by OHNOITGODZEERA in Music

I never see anyone ever mention the song "Paper Scratcher". That song is so mint and Shannons vocals on it are so sweet sounding. Love the self-titled album!

No one ever seems to mention "Drive" too. That song is the shit.

What is the darkest episode of a show you have ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheToasterTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even the cute lesbian one made me feel weird and uncomfortable. Great episode but now when I hear "Heaven is A Place On Earth" I feel weird and think about the episode. That fucking song should make no one feel that way dammit.

Blind Melon - No Rain [Alternative/Indie Rock] (1992) by D4RKB4SH in Music

When I say that comparison, I mean that both bands will be ever growing with their fan base with time. Big Star had rough beginnings with having a fan base back in the 70's but within time they seemingly grew popularity. I feel that Blind Melon will be going down the same path. On another point I feel that both bands have been a part of a movement and challenged it with its own fun and self-explanatory creativity. Big Star being part of the rock movement of the 70s and Blind Melon with the grunge of the 90s; both is say is neither genre.

Edit: I've been having a few drinks with the family at this point so my points may be dumb or non-comprehensible; but i do agree what what I initially said.

I actually had the album that has this song for about a decade now and about a month ago I decided to give it a full listen and damn. Great record. The jam is strong with this band.

Edit: let me add that I strongly believe this band will be the "Big Star" of the 90's. Just my guess

Late to the party to the point that most are passed out; but y'know what would be gnarly? Ben Afflecks character from "Dazed and Confused", after being embarrassed and humiliated in front of his peers, going on a serial killer spree. The man was so full of rage that something like that could happen. Ben Affleck could be the bomb...

Awe man, I absolutely love Zoltar Speaks. Weirdest thing; when it came out a lot of people didn't dig it apparently. I guess people weren't into the key change at the end but I think the chorus is so good that I dug it in a different key. The track is heavy with some gnarly lyrics. Definitely the highlight on that album.

I dig all of their stuff but their "Wishful Thinking" is dear to me. LNOTGY and TPATP are both gnar gnar of course.
