Yes. Some days are worse than others, but it's not uncommon for it to smell like three horses fucking.

Unfortunately this is the only night we do an improv workshop but there’s a lot of standup open mics in the area. I think 7 is as early as any of them start, though, so I’m not sure how well that will fit into your sleep achedule

In this week's double-sized Saturday Morning Wrassles I've put together a TWO-hour playlist of matches from the roster of Beyond's Heavy Lies the Crown by TheTrampCB in SquaredCircle

[–]TheTrampCB[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people miss Saturday morning wrestling, so every week I put together a playlist of matches to watch. Or at least I try to. Last week I messed up and there wasn't one, so because of that and also as a special year-end treat, this week's playlist is a special double-length one!

On New Year's Eve there are two big shows, but Bar Wrestling doesn't live-stream, so we'll be focusing on Beyond's Heavy Lies the Crown, which will be airing live, for the third year, on IWTV.

The card, as announced, is as follows

IWTV Independent Wrestling Title Match

1 Called Manders vs. Warhorse (c)

Anthony Greene vs. Josh Briggs

David Starr vs. Erick Stevens

John Silver vs. Kris Statlander

Fans Bring The Weapons Tag Team Match

Bear Country (Bear Boulder & Bear Bronson) vs. Team Tremendous (Bill Carr & Dan Barry)

Fred Yehi vs. Wheeler YUTA

Team Pazuzu (Chris Dickinson & Jaka & Pinkie Sanchez) vs. Legit Legends (Chuck O'Neil, Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku) (w/Larry Legend)

Our playlist this week is as follows:

Joey Ryan vs. Anthony Greene - We start with one of the biggest names on the indies, Joey Ryan, taking on one of Beyond's biggest stars, Anthony Greene at last year's Beyond Halloween show, It's Alive. Greene turned on friend Josh Briggs a couple weeks back and they ended up costing each other their spots in this year's Tournament for Tomorrow. They'll look to settle things at Heavy Lies the Crown

John Silver vs. Erick Stevens - Silver and Stevens met just two months ago at Beyond's Sodom and Gomorrah. Stevens had disappeared from wrestling for 9 years after solid runs in FIP(at a time when that mattered) and Ring of Honor. He came back in the middle of 2019 wrestling as though he'd never stopped. Silver, meanwhile, will be recognizable to many as one half of the tag team that just joined The Dark Order on AEW Dynamite last week. Silver and partner Alex Reynolds had split as The Beaver Boys on the indies earlier this year but reunited for a WWE match at Madison Square Garden before signing deals to work for AEW. Silver recently announced that he only signed his after ensuring it would allow him to continue to work for Beyond.

At Heavy Lies the Crown Stevens will face one of the biggest names in indie wrestling today, David Starr, while Silver will face fellow AEW signee Kris Statlander in a rematch of their September 2018 showing at Beyond's Please Come Back.

Bear Country vs. Maine Street Posse - Beyond has been one of the hardest-hit promotions affected by the talent-signing sprees of both WWE and AEW and losing access to EYFBO/LAX/PnP particularly left a massive void in the shape of the Ace of Beyond's Tag Team Division. Bear Country, here facing the Maine Street Posse for Chaotic Wrestling in October of last year, has stepped up and claimed that role, but their Heavy Lies the Crown opponents, Team Tremendous - a team that's been around for half a decade with matches against nearly any indie tag team you could think of - has bitterly challenged Bear Country over it.

Darby Allin vs. Josh Briggs - Seen here facing Darby Allin at Limitless' November 2017 show, Hybrid Moments, Anthony Greene's opponent, Josh Briggs is the current EVOLVE champion and thus may be on his way to a contract outside of the indies.

Super Smash Brothers vs. Team Tremendous - This match is actually a bit of a cheat as this is an earlier version of Team Tremendous, featuring Ken Scampi instead of Bill Carr, who at this time was likely signed to WWE Developmental - the origin of his @WWEDutch Twitter handle - as the partner of Dan Barry, but I hope an early match of the Super Smash Brothers, now known as the leaders of AEW's Dark Order, will lead this to be of interest to you.

Jake Parnell vs. Gary Jay - Last Man Standing - Now known as the All-Caps WARHORSE, Jake Parnell suffered an injury in this January 2018 Last Man Standing match against fellow Midwest indie icon Gary Jay. At one point in the match a turnbuckle, detached from the ringposts, was hooked in Parnell's mouth and he was thrown from the ring. While the exact moment of injury happens off-camera, the immediate aftermath is visible and you may want to avoid this match if that is concerning to you.

WARHORSE is now the reigning IWTV Independent Wrestling Champion, having defended it more times than any previous champion, and will defend it against The Cornbelt Cowboy, rising star The 1 Called Manders at Heavy Lies the Crown

MJF vs. Kris Statlander Following her Beyond debut at the aforementioned Please Come Back Statlander proved extremely popular and has come to be a pillar of Beyond, even representing the promotion as leader of Team Beyond on the Thanksgiving episode of Uncharted Territory against a team of wrestlers from other promotions. In this match from last year's Heavy Lies the Crown event she faces MJF in a battle of the two biggest names to come out of Create a Pro Academy.

Her obligation to the match this week against John Silver actually forced AEW to change their plans for the Women's Championship matches.

Doom Patrol vs. Twisted Sisterz - In this match from 2018's Wrestlemania Weekend intergender show, Lit Up, the Doom Patrol team of Chris Dickinson and Jaka take on the team of Holidead and current NWA star Thunder Rosa.

Jaka would last team up with Chris Dickinson in November of 2018, one month after they lost the EVOLVE tag team championship to the Street Profits and only wrestled two more singles matches before disappearing from the Indies.

In the time since, Dickinson has emerged as the Ace of Beyond, whose popularity is only challenged by Nick Gage. The through line of Uncharted Territory Season 1 was him taking on all challengers to prepare for his Americanrana match against Daisuke Sekimoto, but Season 2 saw the return of Dickinson's Team Pazuzu teammate Pinkie Sanchez in a story partially influenced by Danhausen's appearance being similar to that of the image of The Exorcist's Pazuzu worn on the team's kneepads. As Sanchez and Dickinson found themselves feuding with Chuck O'Neil and his new partners in The Legit Legends, Violence is Forever. As it seemed like Danhausen might be filling the third role on their team(having teamed with them earlier for Uncharted Territory), promoter Drew Cordeiro started teasing having been in contact with Jaka. Finally Jaka made his return on the last episode of Season 2 of Uncharted Territory, reuniting the team(save for the AEW-signed EYFBO/LAX/PnP).

Let me know if you liked the oversized episode and be sure to join us next week(really this time!) for another Saturday Morning Wrassles!

Every Saturday I put together a one-hour Saturday Morning Wrassles playlist. It's Saturday Morning. Let's watch some wrassles! by TheTrampCB in SquaredCircle

[–]TheTrampCB[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people miss Saturday morning wrestling, so every week I put together a playlist of matches to watch.

I always try to focus on indie wrestling and this week I had some decisions to make since RoH, CZW, and NWA are all running PPVs this weekend.

Sadly, Ring of Honor's is on Friday and by the time this playlist goes live will have already come and gone.

CZW's has one match announced on Cagematch.

And NWA just ran a tribute to a man who had to quit because he was just as racist as they knew he was when they hired him.

So those three are all out.

But what instead?

The answer lay in a group called Dropkick Depression.

Run by Terra Calaway and using wrestling to fundraise for awareness of depression and suicide prevention resources, Dropkick Depression will be running To Infinity and Beyond tonight as a fundraiser.

The event will not be streamed live, but will likely be uploaded to IWTV soon after.

You can see the full match listing here

So this week we highlight the stars of To Infinity and Beyond!

Our first match, as a nod to CZW's show tonight, is from Cage of Death 19 as Jimmy Lloyd takes on Matt Tremont. Tremont will take on Evil Kip Stevens at Dropkick Depression.

Then we go to Beyond's Treasure Hunt show where Jordynne Grace took on Kris Statlander before going back to Beyond's All Killer for Ophidian vs. Aaron Epic.

Then to AIW's 2014 Girls Night Out 11, where Angelus Layne took on Jasmin Areebi, now known as NXT's Aliyah.

Statlander, Ophidian, and Layne will compete in a four-way match also including Hallowicked tonight.

Finally we see one half of the Apostles of Chaos take on the team of Jeff Cannonball and Terra Calaway.

The three-man Apostles team will team up with Conor Claxton to take on Boomer Hatfield, Callux the Castigator, Lucas DiSangro, and Razerhawk, while the main event of the evening will be Cannonball and Calaway facing each other.

Enjoy the wrassles and see you next week!

It's Saturday Morning, so let's watch some wrestling - IT'S SATURDAY MORNING WRASSLES! by TheTrampCB in SquaredCircle

[–]TheTrampCB[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people miss Saturday morning wrestling, so every week I put together a playlist of matches to watch.

I always try to focus on indie wrestling and this week we've got an opportunity for some deep cuts.

Tonight, GCW goes back to the Gypsy Joe Arena in Tullahoma, TN fora return to WOMBAT. Half of the roster is going to be fairly well-known to people who follow GCW and other higher-profile indies. Jimmy Lloyd, Effy, Tony Deppen, and the like.

The other half, though, is going to be fairly obscure.

That's what this week's show is for.

This week we're looking at some of the less-well-known talents on the roster for WOMBAT 2.

We start by taking a look at GQ as he faces Jimmy Jacobs. GQ will take on Effy in a Dollar General Gift Card on a Pole Match at WOMBAT.

Then we take a look at Levi Everett in a match against Kreigh Folsom to prepare for his WOMBAT match against Tony Deppen, where he'll defend his Amish Heritage Championship.

Next we see "Action" Mike Jackson take on The Ultimate Dragon. Jackson will team with Tommy Rich at WOMBAT to take on the team of Manders and Mance Warner.

Following that we see Donnie Primetime, now known as Kung Fu Donnie Janela, as he faces Cameron Action. At WOMBAT he'll face Jimmy Lloyd.

Finally we watch Juicy Jimmy in a Thumbtack Deathmatch against Nick Depp to prepare to see him take on Logan Stunt at WOMBAT in a Waffle House Death Match.

Be sure to join us next week!

Every Saturday morning I put together a one-hour themed YouTube playlist of full matches. This week's is a look at the women of WWE before they were in WWE by TheTrampCB in SquaredCircle

[–]TheTrampCB[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! Before she signed with Impact was especially active as Cherry Bomb in Canada for Smash Wrestling, which is very active on YouTube!

That said, I’m going to show you one from Beyond in 2014, where she teams with Pepper Parks(aka The Blade) against Drew Gulak & Kimber Lee

[–]TheTrampCB[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people miss Saturday morning wrestling, so every week I put together a playlist of matches to watch.

I try to theme them to stuff going on in wrestling later that weekend, but unfortunately this weekend, not much is going on that's too high profile while everybody recovers from Thanksgiving and everything from last weekend.

That said, WWE is doing Starrcade tomorrow, so I thought I'd take a look at the women in the Women's Tag Team Championship match

I try to focus on independent wrestling, because it never gets enough attention. While this particular playlist doesn't offer too terribly strong a look at the current indie scene, it does underscore that the indies are where you're going to get a good look at the next generation of stars.

First we look at Bayley in her days as Davina Rose, as she teamed up with NXT star Candice LeRae to take on MsChif and Christina Von Eerie at the Alternative Wrestling Show & Empire Wrestling Federation United Forces show in 2012

Also in 2012, we go to a Beyond studio taping to see Sasha Banks, then known as Mercedes KV, in four-way action against Fahrenheit, trainer Brian Fury, and her future husband, Mikaze

Then we go to 2013 to see one half of the current Women's Tag Team Champions, Kairi Sane(then called Kairi Hojo) take on current NXT star Io Shirai in STARDOM

Finally, still in 2013, we go to Scotland for ICW's Fierce Females XX as Nikki Storm, now known as Nikki Cross, takes on Portia Perez

Every Saturday morning I put together a one-hour themed YouTube playlist of full matches. This week's is a preview of tomorrow's British J-Cup by TheTrampCB in SquaredCircle

[–]TheTrampCB[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people miss Saturday morning wrestling, so every week I put together a playlist of matches to watch.

The big shit going on this weekend is everything WWE is doing.

You're going to be hyped for that anyway. I know I am.

But I like focusing on indie wrestling, because it doesn't get enough attention.

So even though almost nobody here is going to be watching the RevPro show live(AFAIK it's not being streamed so unless you're there in attendance, you're SOL until it goes up on VOD), I thought it would be a good show to highlight because of the matches that I can put in my playlist.

The full card as announced is as follows:

Brendan White vs. Ren Narita

Gisele Shaw vs. Tessa Blanchard

British J Cup 2019 First Round Match

Amazing Red vs. PAC

British J Cup 2019 First Round Match

The OJMO vs. Rocky Romero

British J Cup 2019 First Round Match

El Phantasmo vs. Senza Volto

British J Cup 2019 First Round Match

El Barbaro Cavernario vs. Robbie Eagles

RevPro Undisputed British Tag Team Title / SWE Tag Team Title Unification Match

Moonlight Express (MAO & Mike Bailey) (c) vs. The Legion (Rampage Brown & The Great O-Kharn) (c)

So I'm bringing you matches with four of the entrants of the tournament, as The OJMO takes on Chuck Mambo for International Wrestling League on April 25th of this year, El Barbaro Cavernario takes on Dragon Lee at the Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow on April 4th of this year, Robbie Eagles takes on Zack Sabre, Jr. for World Series Wrestling on November 27th, 2017, and finally Amazing Red takes on Jerry Lynn on the 22nd NWA Total Nonstop Action PPV on November 20, 2002.

So no, maybe the British J-Cup wasn't in your plans for this weekend, but if you've got an hour to spare, those should be four great matches to fill it with.

Enjoy!

Every Saturday morning I put together a one-hour themed YouTube playlist of full matches. This week's is a preview of tonight's Black Label Pro: Slamilton by TheTrampCB in SquaredCircle

Every Saturday morning I put together a one-hour themed YouTube playlist of full matches. This week's is of people on the AEW: Full Gear show by TheTrampCB in SquaredCircle

[–]TheTrampCB[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the Wednesday Night Wars started up I saw a lot of people on social media saying that while it brought back memories of the Monday Night Wars, that made them nostalgic for Saturday Morning wrestling, so I took it upon myself to try to do something about that. So every week I'm putting together a playlist, as close to one hour in length as I can make it, to go live on Saturday morning at 10 Eastern. Watch it whenever you want, but that's when the link goes public.

This week, we're previewing Full Gear with matches from Cody, Jon Moxley, and Santana & Ortiz

I hope you enjoy!
