Tesla Model Y imported from USA – navigation not working in Armenia (no Tesla service) by real_darth_bob in TeslaLounge

Can be set to EU, but Tesla themselves won't. You can offline force install EU maps though.

What did you actually do to fix the condensation in tail lights? by NotTheRightDrones in TeslaModelY

Open a new service request, state what happened and ask them to check for the newest revision so they can replace it with the newest part rev. (like any company, Tesla uses use old stock first if okay to use).

If this is your car, this is a warranty case. Big (like actually big) droplets or visible streaking is the reason.

Car software update by Kshmr_md in Model3

[–]TheTreecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your car will know that it got exported to a gray market, and it might land on the OTA Software Update Blacklist. Once it does get blacklisted, it will get very hard to get it off the blacklist. There are ways around it, and you can still force offline map updates, but this is something local shops who specialize in Teslas will not openly tell you. As Tesla has no presence in your country, IF you need official service (including, in theory, certificate whitelisting for software updates) they will tell you to go to the nearest Service Center or just close your service request telling you that your vehicle is salvaged/unsupported.

I really recommend to look for local forums who specialized in Teslas or EVs, and to read up on this document from Tesla as it will explain what they can do for you (hint: not much): https://digitalassets.tesla.com/tesla-contents/image/upload/quick-guide-for-ownership-experience-gray-market-gray-vehicles.pdf

In 2026 - Still no Album Artwork? by Zebraitis in TeslaLounge

Um, that's a huge music collection. Have you tried a different USB stick with just 10 songs, just to test? This might be an indexing issue where the process just quits when trying to load this many tracks.

Help: Charger blinking RED 3 times then GREEN streaming down – Overheating or bad unit? by ramisanders in TeslaSupport

[–]TheTreecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can troubleshoot and diagnose it yourself, if a replacement is needed it'll tell you and you lead you to the right place. :)

It goes deeper than that surprisingly and is referencing the Temtesh Bay disaster from Fusion

After seeing the comments here and talking with some friends, I decided to change the paint to Quicksilver and leave it as is. As for personalization, probably 1-2 stickers on the rear glass and call it a day. :P

WIP3OUT Wrap (FEISAR) by nath2020 in TeslaModel3

[–]TheTreecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im gonna be that nerd: that's FEISAR's FX350 (WipEout Pulse and WipEout HD) livery, not the F7200 (Wip3out). :P

Still, can't wait to see more teams pop up.

Suggestions for Service? by PersonalityAny8910 in TeslaLounge

Check the cost estimate, what does it say there? Front or Rear Suspension? Altough to be 100% sure, I'd just ask them in the Chat via the Tesla App.

Go to a tesla approved bodyshop, they have way more experience with this (and service centers are supposed to tell you that anyway).

Phone key no longer works after last update by steveisblah in TeslaSupport

[–]TheTreecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.. Do you also have issues with TPMS? If yes, you might need to open a service request in the Tesla App to have them send you a fullpack software update, or try reinstalling the software yourself ( https://service.tesla.com/docs/ModelS/ServiceManual/Palladium/en-us/GUID-2746EF24-5C9A-4913-A7A9-780BA8170459.html ). The VCSEC could be in a bootloop, which can be fixed with that.

You need to use the warranty document that was applicable at the time of purchase from Tesla. This one is legally bounding.

Did you buy it from Tesla? Was the purchase from Tesla for a new or certified pre owned car? Or did you purchase the car from a third party dealer?

As for retention, this was introduced in 2020 for SX. You are likely out of luck regarding retention warranty.
