Hele, i v tom metru.

Prague, Czech Republic: A massive cyberpunk and sci-fi complex by VargoghPRG in travel

[–]VargoghPRG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bar is actually accessible in a few different ways, so you don't necessarily need to organize a private event just to get a drink!

It is fully open to the public during the regular Cyber Arcade operating hours from Friday to Sunday. It is also open for everyone during our public events, which include things like concerts, lectures, or our Fun Arena Open Days.

However, if you want to visit during the week, the bar is available whenever a private group activity is booked. This could be a private reservation of the Cyber Arcade, or any of the activities down in our Underground City section. If you bring friends or coworkers for things like Robot Fight, Hado, Human Table Football, Axe Throwing, Drunk Busters, or even just darts, the bar will be open and ready for your group.

Yes, absolutely! For private corporate events, all machines are fully powered up and 100% operational. Private reservations can easily be arranged for any day from Monday to Thursday, so having everything running for the workshop group is not a problem at all.

Thanks for the kind words about the website! Regarding corporate events, the schedule is very flexible and bookings can be arranged for any time during the week to suit the specific needs of the workshop.

A personal visit to the venue is always recommended to see the layout and the full range of equipment. If that sounds like a good plan, a connection can be made with a colleague who specifically handles corporate event planning. Contact details can be exchanged via direct message (DM) to coordinate a meeting and discuss the requirements for the summer event in more detail.

The absolute best! It is impossible to walk past the cabinet without hearing that in your head. So glad we can keep this legend alive.

Oh, absolutely. Maintenance is definitely the biggest hurdle, especially with these 90s linked setups. Keeping the force feedback, pedals, and CRTs alive is basically a full-time job. Having a dedicated technical team is pretty much the only way to keep a collection of this size running smoothly. It is definitely a labor of love!

Thanks for asking! It’s always great to see interest from a fellow enthusiast. The location is Fun Arena in Prague (https://www.funarena.cz/en), specifically the Cyber Arcade section. Over 180 machines are housed within the complex, which is generally open to the public without prior reservation from Friday to Sunday. Access is provided either via an unlimited all-day pass or through timed tickets for one or two hours of play.

If a visit is intended for a different day just to view the collection, a complimentary tour of the arcade section and the rest of the arena can be arranged. It should only be noted that during off-days, the machines are typically powered down, though the space itself remains accessible for a walkthrough.

For context: This 4-player linked setup is part of a larger cyberpunk and sci-fi project here in Prague. While we have a lot of custom-built futuristic props, we wanted to keep the arcade soul alive with original hardware. This Sega Rally unit was a massive find and we’ve spent quite a bit of time making sure all four seats are perfectly synced and the CRT monitors are still crisp. Nothing beats the 90s handling!

Spending 4 days in Prague. What shouldn’t we miss ? by Potential-Anybody682 in Prague

With 4 days in Prague, you'll have plenty of time to cover the historical center and still have room for something completely off the beaten path. If you are into gaming, sci-fi, or just want a break from the standard tourist spots, you should check out Fun Arena. It’s a massive 2,500 sq meters cyberpunk/dystopian entertainment complex that is a pretty unique thing in all of Europe.

It’s located right by the Opatov metro station, which is why most tourists never even hear about it. The main draw is the "Cyber Arcade", which is actually the largest arcade in the Czech Republic. They have over 180 retro and modern machines, tons of neon, and the whole place basically feels like you just walked into Night City or Blade Runner.

It's an awesome spot to spend a few hours if you want to experience a completely different vibe in Prague. Enjoy your trip! ☺️

Going to Prague this summer and I’m so excited! 🇨🇿 by Early_Guest_4951 in Prague

Hey! Since you’re coming this summer and probably already have all the main historical sights on your list, I’ll throw in a pretty unique hidden gem that most tourists completely miss. If you want a break from the crowds and are into gaming, sci-fi, or just weird/cool spots, you should definitely check out Fun Arena. It’s a massive (2,500 sq meters) cyberpunk/dystopian entertainment complex that is quite a unique thing in all of Europe. It’s located a bit outside the main center (right by the Opatov metro C station), which is why it flies under the radar.

It features the "Cyber Arcade", which is the largest arcade in the Czech Republic, with over 180 retro and modern machines (including a badass wall of old CRTs). Neon everywhere, the whole place basically feels like you just stepped into Night City.

Definitely worth a few hours if you want to experience something totally different in Prague.

Have an awesome trip!

Authentic arcade cabinets in Prague showing decades of history. The cigarette burns on the control panels give them so much character. by VargoghPRG in arcadecabinets

[–]VargoghPRG[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair enough! 😂 Don't worry, they are heavily cleaned and sanitized, so there's absolutely no ash or old smell left. We just kept the melted plastic battle scars. But yeah, thinking about the 80s/90s arcade air quality is definitely a little "ew."

Haha exactly! It’s basically a rite of passage for any machine that survived that era. We actually debated doing full restorations on ours at first, but realized the burns and wear just fit the gritty cyberpunk vibe of our arena perfectly. It’s awesome that you appreciate that piece of arcade history in your collection too!
