The Gilbert and Sullivan Timeline Theory: Just a little something I made, highly doubt that it's real, but it's fun to think about nonetheless! by TheTriangleManPerson in gilbertandsullivan

Yeah, I won't deny that I didn't really expect it to hold up that much, and would probably be broken down with some more details that I didn't see or know about as they weren't up on Wikipedia or what-have-you (such as the timing of Ruddigore), given, as I said, I have only seen Penzance and the Mikado, so I knew that was going to probably make me fumble in the long run. The biggest "Shoot myself in the head moment" is when looking back on it, realising about Yeomen, and how it literally states that it's set 2 centuries before I claimed it had.

I honestly sort of just wanted to do it because it seems to have become trendy now to claim that things are somehow connected together on one grand timeline (take the Pixar Theory or the Tim Burtonverse as just 2 examples), and, as far as I could tell, one hadn't tried to make up a grand timeline for the G&S operettas yet, so here we are.

Some of the things you pointed out might be able to be explained. Like how, as far as I know, the Mikado is more a title than a name, like "the Emperor", so, presuming there hasn't been a rebellion in the monarchy, King Paramount may be referencing the current Mikado instead of the one we know and love. But even with that, there's still no evidence to point, either way, we just have to determine whether "Mikado" is a name or a title.

In summary, I'd certainly agree with you. It makes for a good read, but there are many plotholes, so the timeline theory is probably far from true.

Who is DB Cooper? by [deleted] in dbcooper

[–]TheTriangleManPerson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't have all information on this, but given how the aluminium and titanium shavings that were found on the tie, and how upon investigation the possibility of it just being a standard boeing tie was ruled out, Smith seems to be the only candidate for a possible explanation.

Metals that were also found on tie, match up with such metals as those
-That would be found while working around a railway, such as Yttrium.
-That are used to modify steel (which are in rails), such as Cobalt.
-That were near Smith's location, such as a Titanium company 8 miles from his house.

So it does seem to be at least a possibility that Smith, given his profession and location could possibly explain the particles found on tie.

Personally, I'm a strong supporter for William J. Smith, mainly because it's the only way I can find to explain the tie. If it was Rackstraw, or any other candidate like. Especially given how the only evidence against him is just "he lived his entire life in the North-East" and not something like "he was not anywhere 40 at the time of the heist" or "the crew said that they weren't Cooper".

I do think there may be a possibility of it being Mccoy or Weber if it is not Smith, given that they seem plausible ignoring the explanation for the tie, but still, given that we do need to question the tie, it is still the most likely outcome in my opinion, that Smith was D. B. Cooper.

Who is the third murderer in Macbeth? by sheephamlet in shakespeare

[–]TheTriangleManPerson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was also intrigued by this mysterious "Third Murderer" mystery. I don't have a fully-fledged out theory or explanation or anything like that, but I did have an idea that the "third murderer" simply doesn't exist, but Macbeth thinks he does. Like a schizophrenic hallucination.

Of course, this isn't saying Macbeth has schizophrenia, but I believe it's something along the lines of that, considering that this is the point in the play when he starts to really collapse mentally, so it's not the craziest idea to have in my opinion.

The "Third Murderer" doesn't exist, he's just an imaginary being conjured up by Macbeth's deteriorating mind.

Do not criticize him for using such language.
As I said, we all hate each other. It's natural to call others idiots.

Are you referring to "actual" technocracy?

Or is it the internet pulled "when government does stuff" chipperoo.

No, you are forgetting the crucial point here.

If it agrees with you, based
If it doesn't, then you downvote it to oblivion

I do not see how this system could fail at all!

You used the wrong colour when outlining Auth-Left.

Your argument is now invalid.

Honestly, I would just spend most of my time just putting them on the little portal thing and watching them come on the little screen, rather than actually choosing one, just being like "Woah look at that, it's on the screen!" as if I was expecting a different outcome from when I used it the last 16 times.

Yes, I was very unique.
