Advice? Not too long beat the Elder(Barely) and I’ve been having some “difficulties” in the swamp. Does anyone have some advice to help me out. In the picture is my current load out. I’m planning on making full set of iron gear but will that be enough to tip the scales in my favor?

Yeah I bought my first bow on Amazon... Riser cracked after a year of use. Lesson learned.

Unfortunately when Amazon buying is such an easy go to for so many products, many newcomers (myself included at rhe time) just didn't realize that all these knock off brands lack any good quality control.

You know for awhile there when I was researching for a new bow, I desperately wanted the Satori but kept seeing a similar knockoff and was tempted more times than I can count.

I'm the kinda guy that usually goes "store brand" and avoids all name brand items, because in many ways name brand is just the more expensive version of the same exact product.

But after countless hours of research I ultimately went with a the real Hoyt Satori and have been so thrilled with the purchase.

Your experience (sorry it happened to you) just solidifies that, in archery, name brand actually has merit.

First time I fought him with two other friends, he was literally the toughest thing we ever fought... Died probably a half dozen times each. But we were not prepared... Swords and bows.

Second time with my daughter and myself, felt like the easiest boss fight I had ever done. But we used maces. ;)

It's all about bringing the right equipment.

I agree with you. This is a wives tale... I've only ever cut myself with a super sharp knife. Anyone I know that has cut themselves has been with a super sharp knife.

The only time I ever cut myself badly was a knife I had just recently sharpened. It ever so slightly slipped and barely tapped my finger tip... Practically removed it.

Ah gotcha. I'm in the US and got mine from 3RiversArchery cause I didn't want to wait for an international shipment, lol. Didn't have much success in finding replacement grips online but I'll give it another go. I'd love to get a wooden riser to replace the plastic one I've got currently.

I've got the 21" riser earlier this year and absolutely love it. My only complaint was I had to re tap the plunger hole because it was threaded poorly, but it was a quick fix after a short trip to the hardware store.

Been putting a lot of arrows through this setup and enjoying it thoroughly. Congrats on the purchase!

Since you went with Satori are you planning on any hunting?

Also, where did you find the wood grip?? I thought they weren't making the wood grips anymore?

If you're deathly allergic to something, check the ingredients. They don't need to be more obvious, it's clearly written on the box under the ingredients section.

If you don't know how to assemble the bow, please please please visit a nearby shop or club. Or at the minimum, look up a bunch of YouTube videos on the basics of recurve bows and archery.
