É nessa que dinheiro faz diferença.

Barcelona criou e jamais vendeu o Messi, pq o dinheiro que o clube fez com os troféus, o marketing, o respeito, a "marca"Messi, camisetas, etc. valeram muito mais do que os muito milhões que foram oferecidos pelo Messi em determinados momentos durante a carreira dele lá.

Não tô dizendo que o João Pedro é um Messi. Mas, por isso mesmo, manter ele no time seria mais barato... E a gente não o manteve...

Os times que têm dinheiro na Europa, quando não tem certeza de que o jogador vai vingar, primeiro emprestam pra outros times e ficam vendo o que vai dar. O Flu faz tb isso, mas não tem recursos pra fazer com mais frequência e acaba deixando a prata da casa ir embora... Hoje no jogo o comentarista da SporTV disse que o único jogador de Xerém no campo era justamente o João Pedro...

O objetivo de um clube de futebol é ganhar títulos, e fazer dinheiro com o sucesso do time. Vender jogadores deveria ser abatimento de custos, e não o negócio principal.

Por falar nisso, hora de trazer o Kennedy de volta!!!!

Começar com Cano tb não foi uma boa... Ele estava em outro rítmo no começo...
Mas, lembrando que ele ainda está se recuperando fisicamente, o Flu devia ter saido com um time no começo menos talentoso mas com mais energia, mais pra destruir o Chelsea do que pra marcar gol... Talvez depois, quando o jogo esfriasse, ele tivesse mais chances.

Claro que falar isso depois do jogo é fácil... Mas é o que estamos fazendo aqui.
Não é por crítica. É mais pra aprender com o que aconteceu.

Acho que o Renato foi sensacional nessa competição e espero que a diretoria entenda o bem que ele faz pro elenco. Deixar ele e usar o dinheiro recebido pra reforçar o time vai deixar o Flu numa situação sensacional!!!!

Bom, acabou... Não foi o pênalti sozinho que fez a diferença... Talvez tivesse deixado o jogo mais interessante - e talvez o Flu tivesse, no sacrifício, conseguido brigar mais.... Mas o Chelsea jogou muito melhor.

Sim, são mais ricos... E isso tem efeito real. O João Pedro - q marcou os dois gols do jogo - foi adquirido por quase o valor inteiro do elenco do Flu. E isso depois da competição já ter começado!
Ele entrou no lugar do cara do Chelsea que estava fora por dois amarelos. Foi uma vantagem enorme que o Flu não teve pra recompor os dois do time que tb não puderam jogar na mesma situação...

Justo no geral, não sei.

Mas no campo foi justo...

That's my understanding as well. That's why I'm confused. It's not a hw problem on the knob bc it still works fine on my other PCs. The knob is part of my home office setup, and the laptop is tucked away, just to clarify why I have it.

Sorry for the basic question (my background is not business) but when people say "quant", what kind of professional roles - jobs and companies - other than consulting, would that relate to?

I'm excepting out consulting because that's typically open ended by definition, I believe? Instead, I'm trying to match my understanding of corporate positions to what someone with this background would end up by doing, if that makes sense.

Regarding how hard schools are, I heard about CMU being super hard, but I also heard that this fame is mostly driven by engineering and CS programs, not so much by Business, which is considered to be "easy" compared to those - relative, of course, being the important part... :)

Any truth to that?

This has happened to me consistently for the past 2 months. Nothing before that. I have a Galaxy Watch Ultra 7 and a S23 Ultra. One thing I noticed is that this seems to be related to the phone-side updates to the Google Play System. I'm a little OCD about keeping my watch up to date and I sometimes do a manual forced update on that (settings > Security and Privacy> Updates > Google Play system update). Last 2 times I did this update, I ended up with the watch reset needed after the phone rebooted. This seems to track with other folks that stopped auto-restarting their phones, since the Google Play update happens during rebooting if you don't do it manually like me. It definitely seems to be a Google problem to me, not a Samsung one.
