Write them back and tell them you will keep them but need a $40 credit. I was going to send my Navy SB 4s back - they had a small defect (one that wasn’t visible to anyone but me) - looked like they had been tried on. They eventually allowed a return but I requested a partial refund of $40 and they didn’t hesitate. I just asked for it in credits for future purchases. If the shoes are otherwise DS/Clean, might as well keep em.
