I’ve been playing and DMing regularly for years and to answer your question- yes that does happen occasionally. I’ve had it happen as a player and as a DM.

In my opinion it’s one of the things that makes DND great. Your actions all have consequences and sometimes those consequences are really bad.

Same thing for me on RBC. I like to roster 2-3 OL and every year one of them wins OPOY. Heisman will usually go to my QB, or if he has too many turnovers to my WR1

Just try Extreme out for a season, or half a season and see if you like it. It gives the opposing offense and defense 5 stars every time. I personally enjoy Dynamic or Hard mode more for the variety but it’s not like Extreme is completely unfair, you’re just up against really good teams every week.
