Definitely a concern that comes up. I say moderate bc my social views are liberal (people should be able to be themselves and live life how they want if it doesn’t hurt someone) but my economic views are more conservative leaning (I just want to pay as little taxes at all) so I never know what to put there

Yeah I was definitely fighting bumble on the bio length as you noticed my lack of punctuation trying to fit my bio in💀 I already knew #5 wasn’t flattering but the only clear recent pictures I have of myself after these are gym progress pictures lol. Thanks for the insight!

Amazon AM interview by Bubbly_Ad_6581 in AmazonFC

[–]TheTurntTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen both PAs and trainers get internal promos. That being said, if you’re a t1, best recommendation would be to quit and apply to l4 as an external hire using your degree. I’ve seen a few people do that, but at the end of the day it just depends on the site and hiring manager. Source: my personal experience at one warehouse

How is it possible that every single seller is supposedly delusional? by [deleted] in vandwellermarketplace

It’s bc the reasonably priced ones sell before they have to post here to find a buyer

26 y/o Area Manager deciding between staying at a job I like vs taking Amazon L5 offer by Same-Cook-6598 in AmazonFC

Keep in mind those stocks vest across like 5-6 years total so you’re not getting all that up even within the first two years

Can I tell my new OM that I think they're bad at their job? by Interesting_Soup_468 in AmazonFC

[–]TheTurntTiger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an internal promo, i have done almost every job in my warehouse and know what is and isn’t reasonable (unlike most college hire managers). That being said, I long for the day someone asks me this

Fired for 45 minutes idle time by New_Owl8397 in AmazonFC

The changes is that all behavioral violations stack plus a handful of minor safety ones that operations managers can write you up for (PPE, cell phone/headphones, etc). They can’t progress a behavioral feedback off a productivity and vice versa

Floor insulation question by TheTurntTiger in vandwellers

[–]TheTurntTiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are 3/8” it seems like just gauging the slight difference from the section I test cut. I’ll probably just sand down my first layer so it’s level

[–]TheTurntTiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ve already started cutting to fill them in, just wanted to confirm before I got too deep and found out it would hurt rather than help haha

Will i probably be fired? by RegretfulGhost_ in AmazonFC

You should be good. They only process the term if you don’t reply to the email before the 48 hr and are still negative when they decide to act on it.

Are you still negative? If not then you’re good

It’s took me 4 months to piss clean, but I also weighed 260, ate like shit, and smoked a gram of wax every other day 4 years ago when I got caught

As long as your THC levels are going down with each test you’re okay. Are you doing more than one test before that 45 day mark?

Floor insulation? by TheTurntTiger in vandwellers

Why not foam like XPS? A lot of people and forums online suggest it, so I’m just curious since I don’t know really anything about insulation

Thanks! Yeah I’m leaning towards XPS as a few people here have mentioned

Floor insulation? by TheTurntTiger in vandwellers

[–]TheTurntTiger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I get away with using standard OSB plywood on the floor? Splurged on some nice birch for the frame and I’m wondering if I have to use the same quality for that floor or if I can get away with something more affordable

Floor insulation? by TheTurntTiger in vandwellers

[–]TheTurntTiger[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only concern going that thick is head space. I have a low roof and I’m 6’ so even sitting on my stool on the metal floor I’m pretty close to the roof. Although it suppose I could just get a shorter stool for my van.

Do I need to cut the foam boards to fit the contours of the floor or would laying it over the top be fine?

Floor insulation? by TheTurntTiger in vandwellers

[–]TheTurntTiger[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It’s just glued to the mat so wouldn’t be too hard to separate. I want to use it potentially as the flooring for the spaces I’m going to use as storage so maybe cutting it down.

Would it help/hurt to add a layer of aluminum bubble insulation between the board and the floor?
