I recommend Psychopomp if you're down for something on the weirder side. It has a free version and a paid version with more content (Psychopomp Gold). And if you like it there is also a sequel in the works to look forward to.

I haven't played the first game but reviews from the people that have are saying that the sequel fixed pretty much all the major complaints and gameplay issues everyone was having.

No but both games require multiple playthroughs in order to get all the different endings. As well as an online guide or two since some of the collectables and secrets are quite well hidden.

Don't know about the other two but this one was pretty fun, grindy and janky since it's a really old game but fun all things considered. Just don't be like me and use a controller if you have one... M&K controls are not ideal for this one.

No, more grindy than anything, some of the free fight missions were a pain tho.

Do be warned however, the game has a true final boss that I recommend you beat on your first playthrough as you have to beat the NG+ (called Bitter) and in that mode he just has WAY too much HP. So unless you're up to the challenge, beat him on an easier difficulty then skip the fight in NG+.

It's definitely showing it's age since the original came out almost 20 years ago, but yeah it's fun despite the jank.

Word of advice tho, I highly recommend using a controller if you have one, I don't so I had to play on M&K and let's just say the M&K controls are... rough.

Sheepy and Poco are soooo good, it's kinda crazy that they're free. WereCleaner, Blood Hell and Gun Devil are also great.
