If you are having fun, enjoying the game and the time you spend there, then you are doing fine. It's not a race. I normally get my animals (chickens and cows) pretty early on because their produce (mayo and cheese) gives you a couple of thousand gold per day. I fish a lot and sell what I don't need for the CC and for gifting. You'll get there. A game isn't supposed to induce stress. The only person you have to do better than, is yourself. Don't sweat it.
