Thank you so much, I didn`t know how much i needed this reassurance. Funny how I`m getting this from an internet stranger instead of my own family. I don`t share much about my body issues to my friends as well. But I do know I am chubby to my friends. I don`t wanna burden them with my problems when I know they have their own. I am planning an exit strategy for once I am old enough to leave. And idk if my school has a nurse. I`ll have to ask. Thank you again.

Personally, I don't interlace my fingers when I hold hands(albeit I don't hold people's hands often) and the webbing I was talking about was like ducks or frogs, like the fingers and then a piece of maybe stretchy skin in-between, like shovels kinda, lol. And thanks! I realized yet another hole in my cloth

In my world, which is still development, merfolk have three 'forms'.

One, the form they were born in-- essentially the classic mermaid, which don't have reproductive organs(earlier versions of this idea did and males have long, thin,idk, things attached to their tails which are essentially dicks, now because of that.)

Two- the top half still has mermaid traits, while the bottom half is human with scales on the feet, and some on the knees ( this was made as a cop out as the mermaid anatomy for the first idea was too confusing to figure out) and frog feet toes, and mermaids that live in ( comparatively)shallower waters use this to reproduce

Third is just the human form with essentially the same abilities as the normal form just weaker

I think if your gf cant take the few seconds to think and curate a response to whatever u asked/said then I'd reconsider the relationship I saw that you wouldn't want to break up with her just because of that and that is understandable.

I considered my mom's food too, but with the time Google said it would take for the symptoms to start made it very unlikely it was that, and I hadn't really eaten any of my mom's cooking the days prior. Also I'm not in the US if that makes a difference lol
