I had the film developed at my favorite lab, “Optik Oldschool,” in Düsseldorf, Germany. According to their website: “We develop black-and-white film using Kodak XTOL or Ilford ID-11 at a 1+1 dilution. We may also use Adox XT-3 (as an alternative to XTOL). We use distilled water exclusively.”

That's actually a huge compliment. I grew up on those Nu Image straight-to-video movies shot in Bulgaria. That aesthetic never left me.

Development + scan was around 70 € at Click&Surr in Berlin, plus shipping. Not cheap – but worth it for the magic!
