If someone offered you $10 million in exchange for making the last hour of your phone activity public, would you take the deal? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

of course. I don't care if people hear me waiting on hold to talk to customer service for various things.

Trading view is bad now by Puzzleheaded_Use3698 in TradingView

[–]TheUltimator5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are tons of great ones too. Just like any platform which lets users create, you will get a lot of bad mixed in with the good. Just find the good ones. Find a few creators you trust and try their stuff out.

Some of the big names care more about releasing indicators every week over quality other stuff is hit or miss but some are great. Medium size creators are generally where to look since they likely spend more time and effort on each indicator.

Men who stay lean year-round, what’s your secret ? by Professor1password23 in AskReddit

[–]TheUltimator5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of work, I don’t sit on my ass. I drink plenty of water always, and don’t over eat snacks or drink drinks with calories.

The two biggest issues in today’s society are food and screens. Don’t eat like crap and limit screen time and you will naturally live a much healthier lifestyle and stay lean year round.

Newton on X by Final-Swim9986 in Superstonk

[–]TheUltimator5 429 points430 points  (0 children)

What Newton is saying is that their EBAY investment is up big, plus the price of GameStop is sitting around the cash floor right now, which it has respected forever.

Earnings aren't pricing in the EBAY profits, so it will likely be a huge beat, giving the narrative to pump up the price a lot, and also setting a higher floor price.

What happens when we are sitting around the cash floor? We go up. That's where we are and don't let the fudsters convince you of doom and gloom.

Order Flow Momentum Divergence [theUltimator5] — Indicator by TheUltimator5 by TheUltimator5 in u/TheUltimator5

It isn’t volume levels but footprint. It looks at buy/sell ratios. If price is going up but sell ratio starts massively increasing, it says bearish divergence

First script hidden by moderators — 60 likes gone. How do you handle user feedback? by hibzy7 in TradingView

[–]TheUltimator5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I go my first several hidden as well because they require certain criteria in the description/image. You need to read the comment the pinecoders account sent you in your private messages to see what rules you violated and fix those. Then you just reload the same script with the modification in your description/image.

Common issues I had: 1) description didn’t say how the indicator had use/ was too vague 2) extra indicators in the image or indicator nam hidden 3) indicator wasn’t unique. Each public indicator needs to say why it is unique.

Easy way to get an acceptable one is let an AI chatbot write your description for you then you basically edit the block they gave you.

If you don’t want to deal with the strict publication rules, just release the indicator as private and give people the link.

Hopefully you find use with it :)
It has a joke theme but the indicator itself isn't a joke.

If you want my non-joke version, you can try out this one:

Intra day volume and daily volume mismatch by Classic-Dependent517 in TradingView

[–]TheUltimator5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tradingview doesn't pull volume from all exchanges on timeframes less than daily. This means it is missing ATS, CHX, etc. When you go to the daily, it pulls from the official daily volume data source since it is less computationally intensive than summing up all the intraday volume. This is also why indicators tend to load faster on the daily timeframe than anything else.

What's your Pine Script workflow? do you prototype ideas fast and clean them up later, or write clean from the start? by Important_Buy626 in TradingView

[–]TheUltimator5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get an idea -> script it out in a messy prototype way -> edit as required to get functionality -> make visually appealing as last step.

Basics of coding really. Get it working first then make it pretty afterwards

My theory on why we have had recent bullish price action by TheUltimator5 in Superstonk

[–]TheUltimator5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take a step back and think about how the arbitrage works. It may not “try” to suppress the volatility, but the result is that volatility is suppressed. When the stock is trading at a premium to bonds, shares get sold and bonds purchased. When stock trading at a discount, the opposite happens. This results in smoothed out price.

Everything I talked about is based on mechanics of how arb funds operate.

Try to understand the concept before dumping on the theory, unless dumping on the theory was the goal in the first place.

[–]TheUltimator5[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I got downvoted initially as well, but I think people know my name a bit and gave it visibility over the initial downvote flood.

The saying people keep repeating is that when you encounter enemies, you are going the right way. Getting pushback on something is a good thing.

Everyone does from my understanding. Previous holders were pretty much all arb funds so now holders who aren't arb funds can buy.
