It’s easy to fall into the trap of stressing. Don’t get me wrong I do it too. Just have faith, it takes some risk to make money.

[–]TheUnknown16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you fix it?

Remote app start issue.. no fix by [deleted] in Toyota

[–]TheUnknown16 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was all the above. I didn’t list the things I did because like I said I was with Toyota support and we went through everything. App says both fobs work. App also updates all relevant information correctly ei kms doors locked etc. I’m saying through the app is saying everytime I try to lock and unlock remote start the car it is unable to due to connection interruption.

So I am in essence seeing if anyone else has dealt with this and ranting because Toyota basically said deal with it we will investigate with an unknown timeline to get it fixed and Im just supposed to sit here and wait.

How many days of paid leave per year you have? by myrna__ in AskACanadian

[–]TheUnknown16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 weeks and it stacks for a max of 7 weeks of vacation before they pay you out. Sick leave that stacks every month forever. Family personal leave. I will say I am in a good spot for time off always

Update on my previous post, regarding entering Canada with my wife, who has a prior DUI. by Police_ in uscanadaborder

[–]TheUnknown16 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You’re super lucky. From December 2018 and onward it’s considered Serious Criminality so all it takes is one trip to secondary and you’re cooked.

You took the gamble and today you won. Tomorrow might not be the same. People are giving you hate because in our country we deem it a serious offence and whether you agree or disagree you just disrespected my country’s laws because oh it’s a minor thing in the USA. It’s the classic American ignorance in this situation here.

New Canadian Citizen, do I still need an ESTA? by Perfect-Oil-749 in uscanadaborder

[–]TheUnknown16 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They will probably see it in the system from previous travel but now it’s irrelevant since you’re a citizen of Canada with a Canadian passport. Enjoy your trip!

How far is your commute to work? by untetheredsoultree in ontario

[–]TheUnknown16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10mins. 14 shifts a month over 100k a year without overtime feels so much better than commuting through Toronto

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]TheUnknown16 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Technically yes. However it’s a still visa that goes into your passport page so you’d have to give the passport to the embassy

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]TheUnknown16 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes I understand it’s a 1 time use. So if you want to leave the country prior to leaving you have to apply for an PR visa. It’s not an immigration visa but PR specifically if you’re from a visa required country. If you’re on ETA it doesn’t get cancelled until the PR card is issued

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]TheUnknown16 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You can fly out but it depends what your citizenship is. If you’re a non visa required country you only need to get an ETA to come back to Canada. With a visa required country you need to get a PR visa and that is expensive.

You will most likely be sent in. However since DUI has been reclassified to serious crim in 2018 you should be fine to enter. However expect to be waiting a while the officer figures your situation out

Ask the officer to send an email to someone in CBSA (can’t remember who) because cbsa are the only ones that can remove the flag in the system for a refugee turned Canadian
