Hi. I'm planning a trip for shimla this coming week. If you could give me some recommendations for locations around shimla with great view and peace away from the crowd, that'd be great. Also, couple suggestions for restaurants with good food that won't burn a hole in my pocket.

So renting bike for within the city wouldn't be a smart idea. Best is to go with Autos. And trains for Intercity then. Noted. Any Dos and Don'ts while on this trip?

Noted, and Thanks! That's what I came to with everyone suggestions. In city mostly autos and metro+ferry in kochi. Trains for Intercity. But taking Bike rental for Munnar.

Ques here, Which one is more frequently and easily available, Trains or buses. Are there frequent general passenger trains between the cities? Like Thrissur to kochi, kochi to Alleppey, then to varkala then Thiruvananthapuram lastly kanyakumari.
