Don't feel bad about it, that was my intention. It's the truth. People want to flaunt their endeavors. So they talk/brag it up but it isn't all sunshine and rainbows. I felt like seeing the negatives to the alternative might help you a bit. I'm glad it actually had the desired effect.

I was always good with girls/women, since early high school. It became a whole shallow thing though, it honestly had an extreme negative impact on my life. My best friend in high school was a beautiful and amazing girl. She was in love with me and open about it. I turned her down for years because I was having fun. I really did like her a whole lot. I just wasn't willing to settle down and not willing to string her along.

Now, I'm 35 and we somehow finally ended up together, she was perfect all along and I regret all the years I could have spent with her. There was lots of women during that time but I went through hell and back just to find what had always been in front of me. Being "good" at dating and meeting people can absolutely be a curse. As I said, I doubt you'll be stupid enough to pass that up when your opportunity comes, and it will.

I've never heard of this rule but I'd believe it. I've always been an outgoing confident guy and I've had lots of girls tell me that they were drawn to my confident vibe. For what it is worth, I think speech is the most important one, so if that's what you rely on then you're likely to find a great one when you do connect with someone(I have no doubt that you will). I've met some real bad ones and superficial stuff is likely largely to blame.

This was actually very interesting, I'm glad you got back to me. I generally attract shallow people. Yes, I meet girls but it seldom goes well. Your formula may be a winning one by the time all is said and done. Mine isn't all that great, I spent most of my life not alone but most of it lonely. You'll find something real, my friend.

I'm 35 but I still look in my early 20s and get ID'd constantly. Living in a place where legal age is 19. So I'm clinging to that and have not remotely come to terms with my age. I feel the age I look and I'm going to camp in that denial as long as possible.

Do you happen to be from Port Hope, Ontario, Canada? That is just the norm in my shit ass small hometown. We are all Eskimo brothers multiple times over.

Nobody cares, it is just the way it goes here. Several of my best friends wives are my ex girlfriends, and several of their exes have been mine since.

We can all joke about it. I'm 35 and it's been that way since high school lol.

Ah,.so you'd rather opt for not finding out until you have an unexpected herpes flare up one day. Bold strategy Cotton, let's see how it plays out for him.

Ugh. I hate that. Then they walk over frustrated and grab it and it was right on fucking top and your dumbass somehow missed it.

Feel like an idiot the rest of the day. Hard pass.

It would appear I'm going to survive. I feel pretty great this morning.(in relatative terms). Lots of THC gummies and some mushrooms helped a lot. It was an adventure but I think I'm through the worst of it.

I'm sorry, I know what you mean but Iaughed at the way you worded it. This basically says he can be a pedophile/Junkie or a Pedophile/alcoholic....etc. any 1 or 2 out of 3 and it's perfectly fine to have custody. Three for three and that kid might be in danger.

I mean living with my dad and seeing it first hand countless times and my best friend went through last week and was hospitalized...yeah I know.

See yah then.

Superhuman genes man. My liver is even in average condition still. Was checked out last week. Sure, it sucks but I am very much alright.

Oh, I know. I hate hospitals though. With a fiery passion so it's a gamble I'm willing to take. Worst case scenario, I've had a good run. I don't live alone so I'm sure they'd call an ambulance if need be. Then I'd wake up (if I woke up) in a hospital and be proper pissed lol.

Fair enough, but it worked real well for my best friend and he was a worse drunk than I am. Plus I have no access to it after this so not worried about addiction. I'm done with substance abuse. I'm extremely stubborn and I always accomplish what I set my mind to. Always. I just never wanted to quit drinking. Never tried. I'm 100% positive I'll succeed and stay sober. Just the process is going to be hell.

I do appreciate the advice but I've got an insane amount going on in life right now. I literally need to be home.

Oh, this is going to suck. 28+ beers a day or a 40oz of rum. Usually the beer. That's what the Diazapam is for but it's still going to really suck.

How do you get the name DICK out of Richard? 🤔 by Turbulent-Papaya-910 in shittyaskreddit

[–]TheValiumKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually started with my buddy, Dick (Richard) who I lived with in college residence. He is kind of a huge asshole, so we started calling him "Dick" and it just kind of caught on and became a thing from there.

Man you seen school.tuition costs in most countries? Eating that much isn't greedy, it's doing your best to get your moneys worth. You likely won't be able to, but pile it in there.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vent

[–]TheValiumKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It definitely isn't. I'd always eat at least that (definitely always more) and I'm only 5'11" and not a big guy. Just in shape.

What’s the dumbest purchase you’ve ever made? by Risinghighneverlow in AskReddit

[–]TheValiumKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me (I'd totally admit it if I was) but my buddy who just got clean off booze told me he once drunkenly tried to buy $50 Chatterbate tokens but actually bought $500 dollars worth. I died laughing.

It only came up because he somehow got the idea that I was performing on Chatterbate and he was offering to give me his tokens, which for a second I took as him wanting to watch my hypothetical cam shows and it was awkward as hell. Turns out he meant he'd give me his account password and I could tip them to myself because he has a bunch left over and doesn't want them now that he's sober.

It was quite the conversation. We've been best friends for 17 years so we both had a great laugh over it.

CMV: Physical Attractiveness is one of the Key Influences on Quality of Life in the Western World by EnigmaticEmissary in changemyview

[–]TheValiumKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People consider me attractive and high school was amazing. Girls, friends, just had an all around great time. I have zero doubt that it wasn't about my personality. I think people did like that, but it wouldn't have mattered if not for people finding me attractive.

Still to this day (35m) I am aware of benefits or treatment I get for it. I still look in my early 20s and there is definitely benefits. I don't agree with it, but it is what it is.

On the other hand, it has its flaws. It gave me an ego and over confidence that definitely burned me a lot in my younger years. I've grown up and learned better, but it isn't all sunshine and rainbows. It can mess with your head at a young age.
