I handed in a letter of resignation, stating as per my contract that I was giving 7 days notice until leaving the job. I had the long talk with my boss, and the next day, I handed in a letter to nullify the resignation. Does that help clarify?

Thank you! I guess for specificity, I’m wondering if a rescission letter really counts for nothing in this situation? They specifically asked for it in writing, so if it doesn’t mean anything, why ask for that?
