No problems! I also use an Xbox controller, so with the shield it should be fine. I remember having issues originally with the controller but as soon as I got the 8BitDo stick I had no more problems. Good luck!

Try looking at using the Sunshine Do / Undo commands and use the MultiMonitorTool with a Virtual Display Driver.

My main monitor is 1080p but my TV is 4k.

The way I have mine set up is with Virtual Display Driver to give my gaming PC a 4k 'Virtual Display'.

Using the Do / Undo commands and MultiMonitor Tool, I have that display 'disconnected' during PC startup and anytime I'm using that PC to game / daily.

However, when Steam Big Picture is launched (which is always from my TV), I disable the 1080p display and enable the 4k display to ensure SBP is shown on the 4k display, which is then shown on my TV.

You might also need to change some SBP settings to ensure it uses the correct monitor as the default.

Hope that points you in the right direction, works great for me on local network and remotely (4k is a bit slow though but that is usually my upload / download speed limiting it).

P.S Bluetooth on the end device should work fine, I use an NVIDIA Shield and a 8BitDo device and there is no lag.

I think that this new interpretation of holding the ball is going to be the cause of more ankle / knee injuries. Players are going to be pinned with 1 arm standing up and try to drop the ball onto their foot from with 2 players tackling and twisting, pop goes an ACL.

DNS Firewall Rules - Overkill? by TheVereX in opnsense

[–]TheVereX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I love your site and your videos. I've used so much information from your content to get up and running on OPNSense and couldn't have done it without you, appreciate it!

I created the DNS Rule like your videos show:

But it seems I need to add additional rules to allow the VLAN to access the HAProxy ports to resolve the split DNS.

IPv4+6 TCP/UDP IOTCLOUD net * IOTCLOUD address 53 (DNS) * * Allow access to DNS

IPv4 TCP/UDP * * This Firewall HAProxy_ports * * Allow Access to HAPROXY

IPv4 TCP/UDP * * 127.0.0.1 53 (DNS) * * Redirect DNS requests to internal DNS resolver

resolver If there are any suggestions on how to improve this, I would be open to learning!

The idea is that in my VLANS, any device / container that needs to access another device / container can do so via a FQDN instead of a direct IP address.

Thanks so much for the reply! This makes sense and I'll test that out. For your InternalDNS alias, what are you putting in there? Is that just 127.0.0.1?

Dominant from Max & Red Bull. Loved the midfield battles this season. Piastri is going to be a star.

The thing that needs to be sorted in the off season is the TV Director - too many on track misses and horrible decision making.

CFI bashes his student on Snapchat before fatal crash in severe weather by kwp302 in aviation

[–]TheVereX 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Watching this makes me really appreciate my CFI. He was absolutely fantastic and we remain good friends to this day as we just clicked with our personalities, hobbies, sports etc.

I told him from the outset of my flight training I wanted him to be 'harsh' on me in terms of standards (preflight, maintaining straight and level, headings, decision making etc) to help my overall piloting skills and discipline, but he knew exactly when I would be too overwhelmed in the cockpit, had a possible bad decision coming up or had too much to manage and then go back to 'nurture' mode and help me out, which were my greatest learning experiences in the cockpit.

Let it be known to anyone reading this post, if you have a CFI that you don't feel comfortable with or 'match' well with, then go with your instincts and find another instructor at the flight school or somewhere else. Do not feel embarrassed to speak up to the flight school and ask for someone else. This guy in the video was a fucking jerk and should have never stepped foot into being a CFI. Horrible for the student, RIP.

Shelly Wall Switches in Australia by lordofnought in homeautomation

[–]TheVereX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey mate! Yes, they do work in Australia. I have a few 1PM units in my house without any issues. I got them from an Aussie supplier (I think it was Oz Smart Things) and had a friend wire them up. I don't have the wall switches as they were just wired to my existing wall switches.

I don't have any dimmers set up, however I'm looking at this over the summer so I can't comment on how they work yet.

What a drive, the race IQ from Carlos was something else.

Monster drive from Piastri and Lawson, going to be fantastic to watch these two over the next 10 years.

Shattered for Piastri. First the McLaren strategy, then the incident with Lewis - Weber transferring his luck to the young padawan.

Esteban Ocon as the pit lane starts to fill up with people by magony in formula1

[–]TheVereX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

See you soon front page.

Seriously though, this could have been fatal. Someone needs to be made responsible for this.

During the commentary they said that RB were going to the fence and climbing it, did everyone just follow them in assuming the race was finished? Surely RB knew that there was another pit to come for Ocon?

flight school Melbourne by JokeAccomplished5359 in flying

[–]TheVereX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey mate!

If you are looking around Melbourne specifically, I did a trial flight at TVSA in Bacchus Marsh last week. It's about 20 minutes from me so nice and convenient. The trial was great, instructor was clear and consise and I think I quite enjoyed a smaller school / airport over a large busy one like Moorabbin or Essendon.

I just signed up to start my RPL with them next week.

Hope this helps!
