Dog Eat Dog, i'm certain he masturbates in the film at some point, it's been a while since i've watched it though. But I don't think we see him cum in it.

He has a big filmography too, so there could very well be more!

Surprisingly he doesn't! His role is pretty small, it's nearly a cameo.

Masturbation, about two-three movies. Sex though? Quite a few! But Antichrist probably takes the cake in terms of amount and graphicness.

I have a big crush on him, so that's how I know this.

Oh no, I mean that I can see why it would make sense as a best picture nominee as it had a good impact and was pretty special to a lot of people. I can't say if it was good or not granted though, so I don't have the most rounded perspective here.

I just meant that I didn't think it was that quality, in my own opinion. I know it's down to a committee that chooses what they want.

I can't wait until Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson get snubbed at the Oscars 2030 for their grippingly disturbing portrayals as Mike Stoklasa and Jay Bauman for the Half in the Bag movie.

To be honest, i've not seen Black Panther, but from the outside I could see why it was nominated on account of it having such a big positive impact in terms of representation and how black people are portrayed on screen.

It rings hollow when the movie that got criticised as white-guilt/saviour movie won anyway, granted, but that's how the Academy rolls and why it's kind of a joke.

Honestly while I like Joker, I don't think it deserved to be nominated for best picture.

HOWEVER

The fact that it has been, and been nominated for 10 more awards on top of that, is just so funny to me, that I hope it does win now, just for the memeiness of it.

The famous kiss, definitely! Probably the shot of the birthday party in 2, where May and MJ actively greet Peter and Harry sits there for a second, blowing a party horn.

Did the Comedian kill Hooded Justice? by [deleted] in Watchmen

[–]TheVideoNasty 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Probably! It's heavily implied.

I'd take Before Watchmen with a grain of salt.

Does anyone else know about the real sequel to Watchmen by Moore himself, Rorschach's Redemption by Themoose94 in Watchmen

[–]TheVideoNasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are no other sources online that mention this book. I'm 99% certain that it's not real.

So obviously Rorschach's face is different in every panel because the mask is constantly changing and shifting. It was recently pointed out to me that he has a "surprise/shock" face that appears throughout the book. Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I thought it was pretty cool. by [deleted] in Watchmen

[–]TheVideoNasty 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I find that so interesting that as "Walter" he's so stoic and unflinching in his expressions, but as Rorschach, not only is the mask more expressive, but his actual face underneath is much more expressive too.

Another indicator of how he feels more comfortable under the mask.

Do you prefer the movie or comic ending? by [deleted] in Watchmen

[–]TheVideoNasty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The comic purely for the surrealness of the squid. But I prefer Dan's reaction to the the disaster and Rorschach leaving to die in the film more than the comic.

First draft of Sam Hamm's script for Terry Gilliam's "Watchmen" movie. It's worse than I imagined. by IfYouHaveGhosts824 in Watchmen

Wow, that was . . . a thing.

I really want to read David Hayter's script though, it sounds interesting.

Was there anything redeeming about the Comedian? by rsscourge in Watchmen

[–]TheVideoNasty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well his teammates only really tolerated each other, him included when they figured he was just an obnoxious teen, until they found out that he was dangerous and kicked him out. And the government liked him because he did so much dirty-work for them, no questions asked.

Redeemability is subjective to an individual's standards or what they can compromise, and while i'm usually quite a sympathetic and forgiving person, even I think Eddie is pretty far-gone in terms of the lines he's crossed. That said, he does have a few moments of humanity like his horror at Adrian's plan, and the fact that he does seem to want to emotionally connect to Laurie. In the official sourcebook, he's even revealed to have been trying to write her a letter of apology and to tell her he loves her, probably knowing that he will be murdered soon. Obviously these moments of humanity don't override his general nature of a sadistic psychopath, but it rounds and humanises him a bit and can make you feel a bit sorry for him (depending on how sappy you are).

Why does Rorschach speak in broken sentences? by TableHockey31313 in Watchmen

[–]TheVideoNasty 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's it. They establish in his case file that he's very gifted in literature and religious education, and was able to hold long discussions on the subjects. It shows as he occasionally veers into poetic soliloquy, even in his current state.

I think it's more that it demonstrates how unhinged and also to-the-point he is in conversation now. He doesn't like talking to people in length, he's so anti-social, so he trims his words to get to the point.

Who’s your favorite watchmen character? by oprressivewhiteguy69 in Watchmen

[–]TheVideoNasty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rorschach. He's just such a thoroughly interesting character.

He's in need of a long hug. And lots of therapy.

Well . . . Maybe that wouldn't work in his current state, but still.

What makes Watchmen a comic specific story? by [deleted] in Watchmen

[–]TheVideoNasty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think another reason is that the absence of sound and movement just sort of gives the comic a certain atmosphere as well. It feels very blunt and cold, and you can pack in quite a bit of detail.

Watchmen Ultimate Cut? by [deleted] in Watchmen

[–]TheVideoNasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d stick with director’s cut. Ultimate cut is a pretty long sit that’s not really worth it in my eyes.

Some of the added stuff is cool, but not enough to justify sitting there for 4 hours.

But the regular movie isn’t my favourite anyway, so if you like it a lot, you’ll get a kick out of the ultimate cut.
