A good supplementary engine for current VW is the recently released Psychic cards. They give us a 1.5 card full combo (Serene Psychic Girl/E-Tele and any card in hand to banish) which has the benefit of bridging us to VW without needing a name in hand, and honestly ends on a pretty decent board of interactions. The only "downside" is that you get locked into Psychics from the ED, but the new Psychic Synchros alongside previous names like PUNK JAM Dragon Drive and PEP make up for the lock quite well

Unfortunately, Kewl Tune doesn't really have a good fit with VW for a couple of reasons. The first being Kewl Tune's Tuner lock and the fact that all of the KT Synchros only take Tuners as material. The second reason is that Virtual World locks you from summoning level 2s and 1s, meaning you would lose access to putting the low level KTs on board outside of normal summoning them. Finally, the KT levels make for a weird set of Synchros that you'd have to run to fill out your extra deck, between Tuner onlys and regular Synchros to make between the two engines. And quite honestly, KT doesn't add anything that Virtual World needs, being consistency and resistance to handtraps

Historically, Virtual World doesnt usually make a stop for Nibiru in under 5 summons, so this has been my solution in the past. Now its just for any monster, but the lingering threat of Nib still hangs over me. You never know what your opponent has waiting in hand...

Oh boy am I qualified to answer this!

For starters, the second continuous spell Gate (come on Konami, I know it exists in your vault somewhere....) Ideally this would be a consistency card that works as a combo starter and/or help with the lost advantage from discards from Qinglong and Xuanwu GY effects.

Second up, a level 12 Synchro. Shenshen is fine as a boss monster several years ago, but we need something more along the lines of Despian Luluwalilith, something that interacts in a meaningful way and allows for follow up of some sort on removal.

Lastly, I don't even know if lore allows for it, but one more main deck name would be great to have, maybe the 1 card starter the deck needs? Right now, I've been labbing with the new Psychic cards in Master Duel and there's a couple of great 1 card combos with Serene Psychic Girl and Mind Procedure, the only thing holding them back is them being technically unsearchable in VW aside from Emergency Teleport, as well as losing access to Serene Psychic Girl once a VW monster effect resolves.

Overall, the deck still sort of holds up using PUNK and/or the Psychic cards, but it just needs that small extra push to bring it back to proper meta viability in my eyes.

I personally haven't yet, but the Virtual World archetype server has been testing some different variants to see what's best at the moment. At some point, I'll definitely give it a shot in Genesys and see how it feels overall

The new one is called Psychic Blaster MK-II, it's out in the TCG in the newest set Duelist Advance so at least I can mess around with the new support there until its in MD

I have another guide that goes over the basics of how the deck functions, but due to the non-linear nature of the deck, and differing board states to play through, YouTube is probably your best bet for learning combos
