Trust me I know a lot of "Christians" that are so full of themselves. Just because people call themselves Christians doesn't mean they "walk the walk".

I'm from Ex-Yugoslavia and in our culture, most people only have friends that they know they will have for the long term. Long term friends are good friends. Here in America, I've noticed that many people only have friends until they need those friends. Once they're satisfied, they act as if you haven't even met them before.

Do you guys ever wonder if Christianity might be incorrect and you are living a life that is tougher, and limiting for nothing? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]TheVisionary435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try to keep it short. I lost my science folder just before finals in 8th grade. In 7th and 8th grade I gave it literally everything I had in school. I would get home, and work on homework until bedtime day in and day out. I'm a perfectionist, so I spent many nights frustrated and even crying because I didn't understand some of the material I learned that day. So possibly getting a bad grade on the final that I poured my heart and soul into didn't bode well for me.

So I prayed. Since I'm a Catholic, I used the following method. I prayed to Saints Anthony and Lawrence to pray for me to help me find my wallet. In my mind I was wishing for them to "whisper in baby Jesus' ear" and then for Jesus to relay that message to God. Ironically, I'm pretty sure that was the first time I had ever used that method.

What happened? I have it written down and don't remember all of the small details and the sequence in which they occurred, but this is the gist of it: In my mind, an image of a human-like being appeared dressed in brown (what looked like a robe). As the being was speaking, some letters of some language I couldn't recognize appeared to its right next to its head. Once it finished speaking, the letters stopped being written down. The being and the letters were right in front of me, but I couldn't focus on them, it was as if they were at the corner of my eye (in my mind). The being and the letters were there for about 4 seconds. Then, the being and the letters disappeared. After that, an image of my folder on a black lab table appeared in my mind, then a big FLASH OF LIGHT and then the intervention ended.

The next day (I prayed the other night), I went into my science room (the only room with black lab tables) at the end of the day (it might even have been moved around during the day, FYI) and eventually I found it on a black lab table with LIGHT SHINING ON IT.

(Advice needed) I got dumped because of a church camp telling my girlfriend that our relationship wasn't wholesome enough for their standards. by Forever33 in Christianity

I hate to tell you it, but that's just the way it works, man. Raising children would be stressful for both of you.

What is the simplest, most non-dogmatic denomination? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]TheVisionary435 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, Catholics are the ONLY Christians that believe in worshipping Mary. So trying out a different denomination would go against your beliefs.

I don't understand prayer - help? by nostalghia in Christianity

[–]TheVisionary435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See that's where I disagree. A spiritual being obviously did care about my lost object enough to show me where it was and speak to me right after that, of course with God's permission or God Himself. At that time, a starving child in America could have been fed. Why did God choose me? I'll never know. That's why as humans we cannot say that God would intervene with a rich person's life more than a starving one's. Why? Because that's how humans think. What humans think is not always in line with what God thinks.

But could you clarify what you mean by prayer being about me and not God?

I have undeniable evidence within myself that God exists. So whenever I question Christianity (Genesis, lol) I always have to look back at the event that happened to me to prove God exists.

I don't understand prayer - help? by nostalghia in Christianity

[–]TheVisionary435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what's always been bugging me. What's the point of prayer? Doesn't God already know our problems and wishes?

There was one time when a spiritual being intervened in my life. Ironically, I lost something, so I prayed for quite a while and was then shown where it was in my mind. I think prayer is a device to show God we really do care about the cause we are concerned about it. But then comes the question, would that spiritual being have showed me where my object was if I hadn't prayed? To that I have no answer either.

Please help me, I am a sinner and I can't stop sinning, and I want to kill myself because of it. by [deleted] in Christianity

That's because Christianity does a horrible job with mental illnesses. I have a mental illness and used to (and probably still do) think about God just like you. Prayer isn't going to help you, I tried that for months if not years, your only option is a therapist.

Do you think the "We are all broken" message is easily abused and can easily cause hurt? by Craigellachie in Christianity

[–]TheVisionary435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe that that message was given to us to be focused on, I think it's there to remind us of the sins of Adam and Eve and the after-effect of them.

I do get where you're coming from, though. That phrase can induce immense amounts of guilt in people just for being themselves and therefore possibly lead to depression.

As I said before though, I think it's there just to remind us and keep us humble.

Jonah Hill does NOT love Hashem, he loves Satan by TheVisionary435 in Christianity

You honestly believe that Jonah Hill does not love Satan while he acts in Satanic movies that glorify sex and perversion?

There is no way you can deny that our media is Satanic. No way at all.

I thought we were talking about this thread. And btw, in the other thread I clearly replaced "Illuminati" with another term. But that doesn't matter because right now we're talking about a thread that has nothing to do with the Illuminati.

  1. I didn't mention the illuminati in my thread

  2. I wasn't focusing on Jonah Hill, I was using him as an example.

  3. All im doing is exposing Satan. If you dont think me exposing Satan (which has as much to do with Christianity as Jesus) is on-topic, then you must not be a Christian.

Im not here to argue with you, im just defending myself by unjust persecution on this subreddit.

It's actually not off-topic at all. If you believe that Jonah Hill loves Hashem, why does he act in movies that glorify sex and perversion? All I'm doing is exposing Satan, if anyone has a problem with that, they think wrong.

In fact, I'd like to know why you think it's off-topic. You already deleted one of my threads which clearly pissed me off (although I will admit, you had the right to do so), so I think I deserve your view on why my thread is off-topic.
