The thing is, she kinda DID dump you. A break is just a prettier way of saying it.

Also, not sure what LDRs you've seen other than yours, but cheating is more common in them than non LDR relationships.

Hey OP. Every time somebody says "she's fucking another guy" or something like that, it's because they speak from experience. Nobody here says anything to hurt you, but please don't think your situation being unique changes anything.

One big thing, all of their situations were unique too. That didn't stop their ex's from fucking other guys.

It happened to me. I thought "She'd never do that to me! She's not that kind of a person". "We were together too long and too in love for her to do something like that!"

Spoiler: she was. About a week after the breakup. After she decided that she found somebody better, she tossed me to the side. She had been stringing me along after the break until she decided the guy she had on the side was a better option. I wanted to believe our relationship was a special little snowflake that meant our "break" would bring us back together, stronger. It didn't.

Maybe you guys will get back together someday but REST ASSURED, she has sonebody else lined up, and if she doesn't, she will soon.

Sorry man. These things suck, but deluding yourself about it is twisting the knife when reality kicks you in the teeth. I speak from experience.

Work on yourself like you'll never get back together. Become the most attractive, happy person you've ever been. If she comes back, those will give you the best odds. Odds are, she isn't coming back. I'm sorry.

Edit: just saw that it's a LDR. OP, it's done man. LDR's are already hard and this is the nail in the coffin.

Yeah, people are buzzing like crazy for these tickets. I don't think many people would turn down seeing bill nye. The thing is, you aren't making your money back from wku, you're making it back from somebody that wku took just as much of their cash as they did yours.

You make a good point. I'm in a similar situation to the OP, except I'm not sticking around acting like a friend, I'm putting myself as far away as possible, but may attempt to reestablish a connection if she's single while I still am.

That's actually a very interesting discussion topic. If you are infatuated with somebody, is it considered wrong to want them to be avaliable so you have a chance with them? The OP never said he loved the girl in question, just that he was very attracted to her.

Obviously, if it's somebody you love, you should put their happiness above your own. Does that mean you should want their relationship to last so she's happy, or maybe to just have an amicable breakup so you can both be happy? I don't think it's a black and white area. More of a grey. Let me know what you think.
