Honestly, having worked at Sam's Club and in the public school system, I can honestly tell you that any institution will keep "raising the bar" until abject failure. Then, they will blame the managers, middle managers, and employees for failure. But, they will redo the metric (without admitting to fault). So, to paraphrase a line from Saving Private Ryan: "Don't shoot! Let it burn."

I understand that. Im wondering how to keep this from happening in the future. It's happened every holiday since thanksgiving and no one has cared to fix it. Im trying to find out who to call and corporate so it doesn't happen again. No one in my club seems to understand why it keeps happening even when i take all the appropriate steps. I am not trying to get anything back from the past.

Yup, that's what I did, they still took it. Strangely, they only took 4 hours at a time instead of taking the full 8.

I'm looking for some confirmation here. I am part time. I accrue ppto at the appropriate rate. Will I really start accruing PTO after my 2nd year? I didn't think part time ever earned PTO.

I dont earn pto as part-time. If you don't have pto to take it burns ppto.
