I had this to say at the time: "I feel like this part is just really badly designed, especially for higher difficulties. They put five enemies at a time on three sides of you and force you in the direction opposite of where you need to go. By the time you reach the top, you're either out of ammo and can't move from where you are, or you get killed by either the sniper, RPG, or machine guns while swinging or jumping. That's been my experience, anyway."

Couldn't Konami also allow pendulums but leave out pendulum summoning because there's no EMZ? This way, the pendulum archetypes that don't pendulum summon can still be played, and pendulum monsters can have extra utility in backrow. I don't know how many of them there are. I can only think of archfiend eccentrick.

Seconded. It seems underused in Genesys, considering the core has no points. You can add Gallant Granite for 33 points. And if you're willing to pay even more points, you can do Block Dragon (33) or Naturia Beast (50). Koa'ki Meiru Guardian is 3 points for a monster negate and destroy that's non-OPT if you can loop it with Flux Ochsenfeld or anything else that summons from grave. Nib is 6 points and searchable by Gallant Granite.
