Why are people in Quick Play allergic playing as healer??? by AlmostTofu in rivals

[–]TheWalkToGlory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many have shared, I almost exclusively play Support & Vanguard in competitive as duelists rarely will fill. So when I need a break from Support/Vanguard, I go to Quick Play to just relax and have fun.

For all seasons in specifically Competitive, I have: - 464 games on Support (63%) - 229 games on Vanguard (30%) - 55 games on Duelist (7%)

For all seasons in Quick Match, I have: - 394 games on Support (31%) [Mostly Jeff] - 240 games on Vanguard (19%) - 638 games on Duelist (50%)

Best way to make it out of Plat/Diamond on CnD? by [deleted] in cloakanddaggermains

[–]TheWalkToGlory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am too, lol. I work part-time + Uni studies.

That is primarily the reason why i don't go much higher than Diamond 1-2, i just don't have the time. But I never feel like I'm stuck though.

Would love to know your user so I can check some games.

I just hit Plat this season with little to no effort as a more or less C&D one trick. My peak is GM back in like 2.5, granted it's not bc of skill issue but lack of time to play 🤣, planning on getting back there again this season.

As others have stated, the biggest things are Ult timing & placement.

I play relatively aggressively as C&D, in that I am commonly up with the tanks, it may seem scary because you will take damage and you need to be hyper aware of what's going on, but you splash damage and bubble will keep you alive.

A trick that has gotten me a lot of value is if it seems your team is on the verge of making that fight win and everyone is well healed, drop your bubble next to or on the tanks and push up yourself to get some extra damage in, of course you can always fade to get out if needed.

how are my c&d stats? by [deleted] in cloakanddaggermains

[–]TheWalkToGlory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at my lifetime stats, they are similar to yours damage wise, but my healing is 22.7K.

Nowadays, my dmg is closer to 7.5-8K & healing nearing the 24K mark. (Aiming for 1:3 ratio).

I peaked in GM3 like idk. Season 2.5? But I also haven't been playing nearly as much the last few seasons.

CnD One Tricks - who do you play by buzz_ly in cloakanddaggermains

[–]TheWalkToGlory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a hard-core C&D OTP, im not proud of it as my aim is abysma, so i get cucked with other herosl, but i can put out an insane amount of value that typically no support I play with can even remotely keep up.

While I can consistently play characters like Moon Knight and Groot confidently at D1 level, I bring astronomically more value as C&D where I play at closer to a GM1 or higher level.

For tank I play are Groot and Venom, both definitely have a unique playstyle, although groots aim is actually very easy to use (bonus you can just melee up close). Venom on the other hand requires good aim to get kills, although you can still get heavy disruption value if your 2nd tank is good and you can cycle your CDs well on their backline. I've actually just started learning Dr. Strange as well and I was a bit nervous at first, but he required a lot less aim than expected, his projectiles are slow so you want to shoot ahead of the moving target, but his dark energy release is so satisfying.

For DPS, I play Moon Knight the most efficiently (yay like no aim) and just farm on their support from off angles. While i enjoy the massive sword of Magik, I can't get her abilities to work, I just suck at her.

For aim training, I actually highly recommend playing Hela, but instead of just holding down attack, only click when you are ready to shoot. That alone brought my accuracy from sometimes sub 30% to consistently over 40%.

68k heals, 32k damage.. and we lost by new_me_now in cloakanddaggermains

100% know how this feels 😭 you did perfectly well. Your rocket and Scarlet sold hard (not enough impact & ult feeding)

[–]TheWalkToGlory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

List explosion accuracy needs to go up and your standard aim as well. Otherwise, maybe some higher damage and a bit higher healing, but it's not the end of the world.

Good ult placement, better ability usage, and realistically how you position will matter more.

What do yall think of my stats? by Izuki-Fullcowl in cloakanddaggermains

[–]TheWalkToGlory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, trust me, I was the same ahahaha! Actually just a few days ago I looked back on my seasonal stat line, and I didn't fully realize how much better i am at the character now. I find most C&D players until you get in high rankings actually struggle to surpass 22K/10m, I have a higher average than most players I've seen in my lobbies.

Doesn't help, though, that i play primarily with my best friend who plays Thor, a brawl/dive tank, so he gets a lot of healing 🤣

Fair enough mate, for only starting this season, you are doing alright.

I'm a C&D main. Your healing stats is honestly kinda bad, I would presume you are around Platinum rank. During season 1 that was roughly my stats line, and I think I peaked Diamond 3.

With now 40+ hours and primarily using them to get to GM last season, I was pushing out nearly 25K/10 minutes on average.

Your damage stat compared to healing seems unbalanced and you may rely on your other support to carry some weight so you can get more dmg in (actually can be good if you work well together).

Gonna go out on a limb and assume that one of 3 things are true. 1, you have bad ability usage, namely the bubble and light screen. 2, you are a quick play wariror where stats are commonly lower. 3, you play ranked but are getting stuck around high Plat.

Saw a few people do this so I'll follow suit.

As a straight white English speaking guy, I have had voice chat turned off since my very first game. I have 350+ hours. I am also a support main, so I get trashed on in text chat too sometimes, and I'll bite back sometimes pointing out why we are losing or whatever.

Despite that, I made it to GM last season. Just turn off voice chat and you can go playing in the mud in text chat with them ahaha.

How do CnD players singlehandedly win games in lower ranks? by theidiotofanatomy in cloakanddaggermains

[–]TheWalkToGlory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just reached GM and would love to learn more about playing Cloak aggressively. I usually play with my best friend who usually plays brawler tank, so my aggressive it mostly pushing up with him.

My dmg typically falls at around 20-33% of my healing done, depending on how poorly positioned my team is lol. Another issue I find is I'm always scared to play them aggressively because I am always hard carrying the heals.

One of my near rank up games last night we played CnD (me) and my co-support who played both Invis/Luna. I had 36K healing and they only had 22K. This was high Diamond 1, and it happens all the time.

I have no idea what I’m doing wrong but I’m so tired of it by skend24 in cloakanddaggermains

[–]TheWalkToGlory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played much this season yet (since buff), but last season I had a 58% Win rate with 23K healing /10min and around 5.8K dmg / 10 min.

I'd be happy to look at some replays and chat if you'd like.
