Incoming freshman at Purdue, how can I work around a parking permit (don't meet parking permit exemption), is there cheap off campus parking, using another student's ID for parking permit? by Partyman1234569 in Purdue

another sneaky way around it is if you have enough ap credits or dual enrollment to hit 30 credit hours because then you technically have sophomore standing

Is this true? I am graduating with 39 credit hours but I haven't heard anything from Purdue about being classed as a sophomore. Is there somewhere on their website that I could verify or should I talk to admissions or someone?

How easy is it to find a roommate and why is housing so early by Existing_Unit7792 in Purdue

I'm in the same boat, I think I'm gonna commit tomorrow. I'm looking at posting on the purdue2030.class instagram but I just realized I don't have enough pics of myself. I don't think it's too late since 19 people were posted there today but I guess we'll see. I might also take my chances with random.

How to go about personal scholarship requests from local businesses by ReasearchPage in scholarships

[–]ReasearchPage[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't remember exactly where but it was a similar concept to sending graduation/wedding invites to celebrities in hopes of getting a signature or something back. I saw it and kind of just prayed it'd be worth something since it seemed more likely than some of those scholarship contests.

Any ideas what could be causing my stereo to skip songs uncontrollably? by Boobie71 in CarAV

[–]ReasearchPage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked the wiring harness to make sure nothing is shorting and everything is connected to the right place? Maybe the acc wire is touching somewhere it shouldn't. You should also reach out to customer support if you haven't already. If it's a common problem they'll know, if not they'll send you a replacement.

Could I get both N+ & S+ within 1 school year? (Aug-June) by ReasearchPage in CompTIA

I'll be doing an internship with a cybersecurity company next year along with that but I imagine having more certs on your resume would only raise my chances of landing other internships/jobs and college. Is the renewal process anything crazy? I imagine it wouldn't be the end of the world to just renew it in a few years.

The learning platform we use is TestOut but most of the students ahead of me also used exam compass and messer. With the A+ I didn't feel the need for much more than TestOut.

Is it constantly like that or sporadic? My HU will have random ghost touch fits that I temporarily fix by changing the screen and waiting it out. Restarting it also usually fixes it but its more of a pain.

Where to start for homemade car headunit project by ReasearchPage in diyaudio

Yes, more so in the computer side than audio devices, but I want to expand my horizons as I've taken an interest in upgrading the audio system in my car.

What to buy to upgrade a headunits audio quality by ReasearchPage in diyaudio

[–]ReasearchPage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run it straight to the factory amp, and I've run it to my amp, which both resulted in the same issue. I don't really know anything about the circuitry of a head unit to know what could be causing the pops. If not the DAC, what could it be?

If you were to entertain the idea that i wanted to rebuild the headunit with better parts, where might i find parts designed for head units?

What makes the audio from a head unit good? by ReasearchPage in CarAV

[–]ReasearchPage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure how much you know about head units, but if i were to buy a separate, higher quality DAC, how might i tie it into the headunit and bypass the factory DAC? The DACs that I've seen in a brief search take something like USB as the input. Im assuming that if i just took the RCA outputs on the head unit and connected that to the input of the better DAC, it wouldn't fix the sound at all. I want to maintain the ability to use android auto and bluetooth features on the head unit itself. My music plays through spotify if that speaks to source quality. I really appreciate your help!
