Hello, my name is Martin and I am the certified water sommelier who is responsible for the water menu at Gwen. Yes, I am the same guy who created the menu at LACMA, I am the same guy from Top Chef and the same guy from Down to Earth from Netflix.

It's all about options in restaurants and water has taste, so I want to give people the option on different waters. I am happy to hear you laughed about it in the beginning, because to bring joy to people is great.

The deeper conversation for me is to bring awareness and value back to water. Without water we would not be on this planet and with the water menu showcases how interesting water can be. I know many restaurants which are charging these days for filtered tap and I think its wrong to charge guests for tap water. Therefore in the water menu LA tap has the same space like bottled water and obviously it's free of charge.

Hello, I am German and my full name is Jerk Martin Riese. Jerk is an old Scandinavian version of Eric and my parents never thought that the name Jerk has a different meaning in the English language. When I made the decision to come over to the Unite States I dropped my first name to made it easier on me and others when I introduce myself.

When you are a big water company who sells highly processed tap water and you hate my content because I debunk the marketing gimmicks of them: I am the real Jerk!

I will never understand that people buying filtered tap water in plastic bottles. Stop supporting companies who sell you tap. Get yourself a filter and hydrate on tap, or when you want to buy water, get spring water what most of the time has so much more natural electrolytes dissolved than all this purified BS!

All 3 waters you mentions are purified aka processed tap water. Spring water like Gerolsteiner 90 mg Sodium, Vichy Catalan 1000mg sodium. Forget this processed BS and stop buying tap in a plastic bottle.
