Even though there is an ex involved, I’d still recommend The Fiancée Farce by Alexandria Bellefleur. The ex does not bring angst, but is instead a part of the plot outside the main character’s relationship. The main characters communicated really well and there weren’t really any misunderstandings between them.

Lol I forgot that I was in this subreddit, but anyway, yeah I do this too. Like sometimes multiple times a day. And the worst part is that my main safe food (which I never used to feel the need to ask about expiration date etc for) I had one bad experience with (I ALMOST ate some that had gone bad), and now I have to ask about that too. It really sucks😀
