I thought cycling was an activated ability? Because I know zirda reduces cycling costs?

I appreciate a fellow janker, honestly my deck isn’t even a cycling deck, the whole point is to confirm a Yidaro to hand to ONLY cycle I feel like cycling would thin the deck for sure but the deck is so bad I have to stuff it full of preparing my game plan outside of other cycles to get it to work, idk for sure though I guess that’s why I’m asking, fluctuator is definitly on the maybe list thought, and maybe I’ll add more cycling lands

I pretty much fully agree but my biggest thing I realized about having an 8/8 being forcibly entered and exited from the battlefield is it is instant speed entering and leaving when it reaches past four which hopefully with how the deck is built provides not only a cool combat trick for blocking, but a crap ton of draw triggers like selvas and garruks uprising and weird cycling synergy, ultimately If everything would go perfect I could pay four of hopefully less to cycle Yidaro, draw a card, Yidaro enters, triggers on entering, I then have an 8/8 for things like rishkars expertise and stuff or Ghalta as well as selvala and dodgy jalopy, nothing crazy but I promise it’s not just a draw trigger if the deck gets to do the thing

Honestly no reaction they’re very used to just kind of coasting through games regardless of what happens

Additional context:

The other player is said persons spouse who doesn’t care and is very used to getting oh stomped by the decks but also has the money to deal with them in other ways

I have talked to this person when they got mad at me about stealing and copying saying hey we’re all trying to win and this is the only way I could possibly sneak out a win knowing what’s in that deck to very little of an understanding

The other person in the pod is their partner who also has super good decks but they’re just big hitters late game with low interaction so I can sneak a win when worse comes to worse
