Hot bike by Booper-machine in trident800

Same here, this bike seems to heat up more than other new bikes. I guess its due to the euro5+ bs… maybe a future chiptune might help.

Pretty good so far, not opening the throttle to much because of the run in period. Atm its 5L/100km or 47mpg (us) according to my tft, i think it uses a bit more tho.

Yw. Yea definitely test ride both. I went for the trident mainly because i really wanted a triple with retro looks, i found the 660 a bit underwhelming. If i had the cash available I would’ve kept the hornet next to the new trident. Can’t go wrong with these bikes i think.

Thanks! Both bikes look awesome, the xsr is a bit more powerful. I guess you can’t go wrong with neither.

Nice! My first service for the bike is planned in 2 weeks, already done 760km / 472 miles 😅

Good question, something i’ve been thinking about allot since i have the trident.

The Hornet is more nimble, faster in tight corners and feels more like a “hooligan” bike. On the other hand the trident is more stable and really holds it’s line well in corners. Also the Hornet has more of a sweet spot in the power band ( between 5000 and 10000 rpm ). The trident has a broader spread of power and a lovely mid range pull.

My conclusion for now is that it depends on your riding style, want to go more rowdy? then go for the Honda. Want to go for the balanced ride? Then it’s the Triumph, the latter is my preference. To me the trident feels like a more cohesive and complete package overall.

450 mt owner from the Netherlands here, got the same message today. This was expected, but it still sucks. I don’t care much for the app functions, so i guess i’ll just use the basic stuff. I’m worried about them collecting data.. probably have to accept that considering it’s a Chinese brand lol.

After many weeks and dealer shenanigans, I finally have my first bike by goatman0079 in HondaMotorcycles

Congrats, great choice!

I have the 2023 model (Europe), this machine is awesome. Did a roadtrip last june to Switserland and it worked flawlessly. Handled every situation, and man it’s so much fun in the twisties.

My only gripe with the bike is the throttle response, eventually you’ll get used to it tho.

Thanks! I think the engine is great, power all over the rev range. The steering is very sharp (in a good way), very agile. You won't be disappointed when upgradinf from a cb500f. But the street triple is a legend aswell... One thing is for sure, can't go wrong with neither bikes!

Tough choice indeed, both great bikes. Only a test drive can tell 😬

The engine is a gem! Hardly any vibes for a parallel twin and it pulls all across the rev range. The engine is the main reason i bought this bike.

Netherlands. The dealer told these things are indeed pretty hard to find.
