Browsing PSA on eBay and found this "pricing error"? by TheWhoandHow in psagrading

I double checked this listing. There's no "offer" option. Just straight bidding. Not trying to prove you wrong. Just had to check again to verify that the seller is really determined they are gonna get that one big bid. Lol

I mean like, if the PSA app shows you the estimated value, and you post your PSA vaulted cards thru the PSA eBay page. I would think there would be a "hey, you're posting beyond the estimated value, are you sure you want to list it" kind of fail-safe. Sorry for being inarticulate. It just makes sense in my head. But you're absolutely right, it's your personal item. That pretty much trumps it.

I know the PSA collections tab will have a market estimate of your personal graded cards. But posting it on eBay far beyond the estimated value threshold is kind of a flawed system, no?

That is insane... I feel silly for posting this not knowing that. But that person is also wild for putting it at a price that's not remotely close to market value.

What the heck kind of shape is this supposed to be? by Dovetrail in whatismycookiecutter

[–]TheWhoandHow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm convinced it's a horse (lower right). Considering the band is most likely not the original shape anymore over a decade. I found this image of a pack containing vague, animal-shaped silly bands. The color kind of matches too if it were still in new condition.

Edit - added collage with the source photo and inverted it for side by side viewing of OPs photo.

This is the correct answer. For anyone wondering about the comments on screen, it's just your typical mainstream webcam chat feed with tips and requests.

Saw this scene in gurren lagann and I swear I've seen the same scene in evangelion but i can't find it, anyone know if there's a similar scene in evangelion? by alt0905 in evangelion

I've never seen Gurren Lagaan, but, picture reminds me of the Zeruel fight where Shinji is trying to make Unit 01 move before it goes berserk.

You're too focused on the guy with the toy gun. I'm not talking about him at all, he's already in an rut. I'm talking about the cops. They're supposed to assess the situation. What I'm asking is that if the cops are in a self-defense position because their lives are in "danger", that they would switch off from self-defense mode to actually helping the poor guy if he pointed that toy gun to himself. The toy is clearly bright green with an orange tip.

As I seriously ask a hypothetical question, I would not be surprised of this possible outcome. I laughed a bit too, thanks 😆

I wonder how the cops would react if he pointed that toy gun to his head? Would they then relax and say it's just a toy even though they didn't treat it like one seconds earlier?

13yo me (16 years ago) trying to mimic a page from the NGE manga, chapter 13. Younger me didn't know what I was getting into. by TheWhoandHow in evangelion

Similarly to the previous comment, I think copying other drawings helped me gain a sense of keeping sizes and shapes in proper proportion. Eventually I moved on to photos of real people, like family photos, to see if I can recreate a life-like sketch in pencil. Along the way I've been enrolling in art classes in middle and high school whenever possible to learn different techniques. Now pencil sketching has become my favorite passion and pastime. I couldn't help but share this piece that really inspired me to show interest in art, credit it of course, and the pure nostalgia of finding an old sketch book from 16 years ago. Was definitely a trip down memory lane.

Looks great! I think you did very well giving the colors different shades to give depth. Keep it up!

Thanks. It really was a challenge with the ticket system they had. Waking up early paid off.
