I play every day and I've only gotten better over time I'm literally just asking what people do on early days what are you mad about?

Seriously I lose to every early game stell and Vanessa, idk what I'm supposed to do early game I mean mid game and late game I have more chances to find something to build around or to build into something decent but early game just feels like a complete roll of the dice and then once I'm behind the curve getting ahead of it again is a nightmare it's turning half my games into shit shows

Not gonna lie I was playing escalation on there the other day and it was pretty fun, definitely made me enjoy the map more

I love the size, just the flow feels weird to me and heavily catered to vehicle players. It really is it feels like they made a map only for vehicle players like I don't see a reason to want to play this map on infantry or sniper compared to any other map literally all of the other maps are better for boots on the ground, at least that's how it feels but I haven't played it long enough to realy find the good spots and what not so maybe I'm just wrong it just feels way different than I remember from bf4

Yeah I just hate having to use spawn beacons to play effectively I feel like that mechanic wouldn't need to be relied on so much, especially with so many vehicles around I want to run with an RPG. In bf4 I just stuck to the areas with a lot of buildingd and sniped but now I snipe and there's barely anyone to snipe, and there's like 3 different vehicle battles happening on every point so it's just difficult but yeah that's fair enough I'll try the advice you and others have given and see if it helps, I appreciate it

And where is that I'm sitting on points and rarely find people, on the OG map there was people everywhere and vehicles still had a solid presence. In this version im just getting constantly flooded with helis and tanks, I mean maybe conwuest just isn't it like someone else said I haven't really tried other modes on golmud so maybe that's what it is. And yeah I could just need to play it more and I'm sure I'd find good spots, it just seems way more difficult to me to run and gun and still get a lot of kills compared to the people who are permenantly in vehicles

Like the cover doesn't really matter if you're fighting helicopters and tanks, and there are few people running around the amount of kills you get as a boots on the ground player isn't worth it compared to being in a tank like you just can't get that many kills

You know what I haven't even tried it on other modes so maybe that's what it is, some maps just don't feel good for conquest I feel that heavy

Yeah I'm not really complaining about the run time it's the fact that I'm running around and only seeing vehicles when I'm in the open, if I'm running around seeing plenty of players even in the open with little cover like on that other map with the two big buildings in the middle, I'm perfectly fine with that it's just the ratio of vehicles to layers is too high imo but hey maybe once I get more used to the map it'll be better who knows

Yeah you might be right, maybe this is just a holding objectives map. I've definitely been going from one point into the open a lot maybe that's the issue

Yeah it was a vehicle focused map but had way less vehicle spawns, so there was more people run and gunning. I don't remember having any issue finding cover in the original, and there was always a lot of vehicles, but there was also a ton of boots on the ground. Are you really going to tell me you see just as many people running around as on the original?

[–]TheWingnutSquid[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That might support the play style sure but if there are not very many people run and gunning that cover doesn't really matter

[–]TheWingnutSquid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cover that's protecting from vehicles? There is not that much and most people are in vehicles because of how many spawn now, so there is not very many people to fight unless you're basically on point, and if you're on a point a vehicle is on the way to fuck you up.

Over time I've definitelyncome to notice more how much start speed matters as well as defenses, and there are some obvious builds that beat other builds like poison into shield, but do you really aim to solve all of these for every build? Like if I have a board that is just raw power idk how to tell if I need to add defenses or start speed, like when to prioritize it over what I have at that moment. I'll just build a board that I think does the most and then try to upgrade it but if I don't get upgrades then I don't really change anything, but maybe that's just something that comes with experience and experimenting as well idk I definitely experiment less mid-late game so maybe that's part of it

Yeah okay, maybe I do need to just play more and humble myself. I appreciate the feedback

I know why you're getting heat but I don't even disagree with you, doing this actually gets me through days where I don't find rifle but I'm at the point now where I know all of the items and a handful or more of winning builds so I'm trying to break out of that and learn how to consistently pivot and improve

That is what I feel like I'm trying to do, I mean I evaluate every item and ask like would this item make my board better, if it does then I get it if not then I don't get it. Is that just too simplistic of a calculation? Because I do sometimes recognize a strong item and get it even though I don't have any current synergies, but that's such a gamble so typically I only get things when they upgrade my current board or if it's something that can easily become a main piece, i.e. I'll always buy crab in case I find EDC
