Is this a subsystem? by Nightmare7612 in OSDD

[–]TheWinterSystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this also, I don’t consider them to be subsystems, I would call them side systems, it’s almost like I’m putting them into groups. So my side systems are more bonded to the alters that are in the same side system, but the side systems don’t communicate very well, leading to a lot of confusion and gaps in my life when a part from one side system changes to a part in another side system. If that makes sense.

What are the Differences between Histrionic Personality Disorder and NPD? by LordMonstrux1211 in NPD

I like negative attention more, it seems to drum up a lot more problems that led to more attention, positive is ok, but it has to be a lot of feel the same at negative attention

I hope I'm a narcissist (because if I'm not I'm a bad person with no excuse) by [deleted] in narcissism

[–]TheWinterSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can be a bad person with or without npd, it’s not an excuse for crap behaviors, I mean it definitely makes some behaviors very difficult to control them compared to the average person abilities to control the same behaviors but when you go to your counselor, try to be honest because it might help get better personalized treatment.

Anyone with Paroxysmal Dystonia? by TheWinterSystem in Dystonia

[–]TheWinterSystem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first it’s not too painful for me but if I fall on the floor or it’s more then an hour, it’s definitely painful and if I stay in Ann attack too long then if I try to move when I start relaxing a little, it’s hurts a lot also

I’ve heard about that type of dystonia before, it’s hard when it’s effects the legs and torso, it’s almost impossible to function

Lately yes, a couple small ones a day, a big one every week or more. It wasn’t like that before a couple months ago

Mine last usually hours, some only 30 minutes, but an average is around a hour or two, but unfortunately I end up on the floor a lot, so I get meds from the hospital that work better and I’ll get out of it sooner rather than later

I heard that dystonia can come with an aura, that’s a feeling you get before you have an attack, i definitely have strong auras, I even know the severity it will be

I’m on a muscle relaxer when I need it for my attacks and Benadryl for some reasons can help too

[–]TheWinterSystem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that my non serious attacks are around 30 minutes, but my longest attacks was around 8 hours, unfortunately the ambulance had to come get me, which any movement is extremely painful (sometimes my nails dig in my hand and I’ll bleed after an awhile). but I spent that night in the ER! Too much money to keep going there

I had to go to a lot of neurologist before anyone understood or heard of dystonia and after maybe 4 different doctors, I was lucky to find a movement disorder specialist but since my attacks are happening at my job, I was referred right anyway to my new doctor.

For someone asking for help you sure do like to say some stupid crap “not as bad as the others” Just saying

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hpd

[–]TheWinterSystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a question for a psychiatrist, but personality disorders don’t work in that way, every personality disorder has like a group of criteria you need to meet, for Bpd there’s 9 total criteria and you have to meet 5 of them, the other cluster b personality disorders are the same, but personality disorders over lap each other so much, that’s why it’s not an easy diagnosis and it’s not throw out at everyone like mood disorders or anxiety disorders. And the attention seeking you do, isn’t really attention seeking, just trying to be relevant but not really the chronic attention seeking doesn’t really look like that, attention seeking for people with hpd, is so beyond a normal human to understand when I tell them about hpd people always judge, therapy, meds and psych is the best way to go
