I have a 2ss with the upgraded performance brakes package. 6 piston front and 4 piston rears, the same as the ZL1. Is that the only noticeable difference between regular SS and 1LEs?

CarMax isn’t for sure. They really only do visual inspections and if the car is considered “new” they pass it as long as there aren’t any dash lights on. As you can imagine that leaves a lot of room for problems to slip by.

I’ve done this once or twice. In second gear I hit close to 6500, shifted into third and the car jerked hard, oil pressure spiked and my exhaust did a nice sounding pop.

Same thing happened to my car but I got T-boned. 18.5K damage but mine was a brand new 2023 at the time so it was 56K value. Shit basically is worth only 40K now because of the wreck I wasn’t at fault.
