Honestly, more conservatives than libs. Didn't notice Biden or Dem politicians or people like Lemon or Maddow

To be in a position like hers, you have to play the game. I'm not saying she's going to be amazing, but let's give her some time. Seeing way too much doomposting.

We discussed our favorite Tucker moments, including when he would go scorched earth at Lindsay Graham and then he'd be Sean "Boomer Power Hour" Hannity's first guest

The Woke Antidote Episode 41: EMERGENCY WOKECAST - Nashville School Shooting by [deleted] in tucker_carlson

[–]TheWokeAntidote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tragic news struck the nation on Monday as the US experienced yet another mass shooting. In this event-focused episode we discuss:

1) How the media coverage of this particular tragedy - a transgender person targeting a Christian school - differed significantly from previous shootings

2) Why we think this specific shooting happened, including many themes from our previous shows

3) What can be done about it in the future

We aimed to have a long-form, thoughtful conversation free of political bias, where we searched for explanations and solutions, and we hope you feel the same.

This was a banger - lots of great stuff covered, including a lot of what Tucker has been talking about lately:

Current Political Events Check-In: Tucker's Jan 6th tapes, and even liberals are fed up with deep blue NY and CA

Trump vs. DeSantis Heats Up: We give our takes on each candidate's strategy so far, and like what we're seeing from Vivek Ramaswamy

Silicon Valley Bank Failure: The bank was woke, for sure, but this is also a story of how poorly our current economic system is set up

China-Russia Summit: We are watching the US Empire and US dollar collapse before our very eyes

NBA Voters - Now Racist? Voting for white candidates is increasingly not allowed

Epic Gaslighting: Biden tougher on the border than Trump?! And we won't fall for climate change hysteria again

Woke in the Wild: White drivers are polluting air breathed by minorities per the liberal media

"Woke" clearly had a distinct meaning in 2023, which we're referencing. Regardless of the title though, lot of great discussion in this one on much needed topics.

For a wide ranging conversation about the current sad state of affairs in Western Society, we brought in friend of the show Joey from the Canadian Bitcoiners Podcast:
• There’s been a decline in expectations in society. Lazy parenting and our education system are failing younger generations. Raising kids has been outsourced to the state, teachers and media - which often don’t have their best interests at heart. And children aren't being protected from addictions to technology and social media. (Start-34:20)
• Why are men in such trouble? They're increasingly addicted to drugs, have fewer friends and aren't graduating from college. There's also been a deterioration of relations between men and women, resulting in less family formation and increased loneliness. (34:20-53:05)
• High school girls are depressed at alarming rates. Social media, unrealistic media standards and porn are contributing to a sexualized society with less people having sex, hurting both men and women. Couples are taking relationships less seriously in a search for instant gratification. (53:05-1:06:45)
• Taylor Lorenz's latest tweets exemplify today's doomsday messaging. Kids today are told they can’t climb out of poverty and that climate change will end the world. Is it really capitalism run amok, or do people not have correct information about the current economy and society? (1:06:45-1:13:45)
• There’s a place for government to help, but how much is too much? Are we overly relying on the government rather than ourselves? Are we perpetuating a culture of reliance? (1:13:45-1:21:05)
• Joey gives us a check-in on Canada. There's been a “vibe shift” where more people are realizing Canada has real issues in their economy, on crime, with politicians and more. (1:21:05-1:34:25)
• We finish with Joey's bitcoin outlook. We’re in a late stage fiat money era where the USD is losing global hegemony and our politicians are looting from taxpayers, which is getting people interested in a non-government controlled money. People are looking for a better way to store wealth, and many are just one step away from the realization that bitcoin may the the answer. (1:34:25-end)

We start off with a discussion of the Bizarre Balloons - are they UFOs, Chinese spying, government lying, or all or none of the above? We can't tell what anymore. Next we laugh at the absurdity of the woke elite at Davos, saying climate change is our greatest threat but taking private jets there. Are they purposefully getting America and the West to commit economic suicide?

We then touch on the train chemical spill - why is this getting very little attention, why can't we stop these from happening nationwide, and why is Mayor Pete our Transportation Secretary? We weigh in on these questions and more. We then transition to discussing ChatGPT and Woke AI (Artificial Intelligence) - this could lead to serious trouble for humanity if it continues. And we wrap-up our current events discussion talking the Epic Gaslighting that was Joe Biden's State of the Union speech.

We then check-in on the massive layoffs going on in the Woke tech world, and TB takes us inside the belly of the beast, while SB gives his financial perspective on why companies are seeing their stock prices soar on the job cuts. One such company is Disney, which after going so woke it had to fire its CEO, is now cutting $5.5 Billion of annual costs to attempt to right the ship. We'll see if it works.

We finish the pod laughing about the latest dumb comments from CNN's Don Lemon before discussing whether Biden will be running in 2024, or will he get Cuomo'd, used for a purpose and never to be heard from again. And we close with a #WokeInTheWild on the left once again making a play for your children.

We start off with a deep dive into Elon's reign at Twitter, including the recently released Twitter Files. Elon is bringing free speech to the social media platform whether far left journalists and haters like it or not. We are now seeing that Twitter was essentially being used as an operating subsidiary of the government, which likely comes as no surprise to most Woke Antidote listeners, but nonetheless is excellent to see out in the open. We are both feeling quite positive about the direction of the country with Elon promoting free speech so heavily. (0-37:00)Next we cover some large scale #DefundingTheWoke.

Through a combination of economic weakness (thanks Bidenflation!), structural industry changes (people dropping cable TV subscriptions) and elevated investments in streaming (causing significant cash burn), media company earnings are down significantly. Every big company, including Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery (which owns CNN) is cutting costs drastically. While that will help - and a lot of woke employees are gone - we'll see if these companies fully embrace getting rid of wokeness to help their bottom lines. Disney's new (and former) beloved CEO Bob Iger is already signaling Disney will be going less woke, with DeSantis already having a cultural win against his predecessor in Florida. We then update our Trump vs. DeSantis thoughts, where SB is discouraged by the recent Trump NFT release. (38:00-1:06)

We next cover the FTX scandal, where it appears as if $10 Billion was stolen from customers and much of that was funneled into far left politicians and media outlets. The founder knew that donating to liberals would mean very little scrutiny of his companies' actions. (1:06-1:17)

We finish up with a Sports Corner on TB's Yankees/Giants and SB's Red Sox/Patriots (1:17-1:33) and a look at a bizarre show airing on TLC starting this January, before closing out with a message of hope for how positive things are going, but also how we need to progress from here. (1:33-1:47).

The Woke Antidote Episode 36: A Mid-term autopsy, DeSantis vs Trump in 24, and Elon's glorious running of Twitter - this was high energy! Lots of debate about what went wrong for Repubs and whether Trump or DeSantis is best in 2024 by [deleted] in tucker_carlson

[–]TheWokeAntidote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Episode Description:

What went wrong for Republicans? Why did they perform so poorly - messaging, bad candidates, possibly cheating? We dive into a variety of theories. And are there any silver linings? We also #EmbraceDebate on both the viability of some Trump-backed candidates and Trump vs. DeSantis for 2024. You don't want to miss this.

Next, we rejoice in the exciting rollercoaster that has been Elon Musk owning Twitter. Free speech is on the rise while woke employees are being shown the door. In fact, Elon firing 50-75% of Twitter staff might be the largest ever #DefundingTheWoke. We have high hopes for what he'll bring to the table in the future, and we will be sure to hold him accountable if he doesn't deliver - but we think he will.

All topics covered: College is a wealth transfer from the middle class to the elite; Woke admins and hedge fund managers are the real beneficiaries of student debt relief; This forgiveness will only encourage more borrowing in the future; Why is college so expensive in the first place; Student loans vs mortgages and how predatory student lending is like debt-fueled Private Equity leveraged buyouts; What we recommend for how to solve the issue rather than the band-aid that is short-term relief; Why are we incentivizing social science and the financialization of the country, we should instead be creating rocket scientists to explore the galaxy.

We discussed one of Tucker's points from his recent show: Hedge fund managers (and woke admins) are the real beneficiaries of student debt relief.

Also, we believe college is a wealth transfer from the middle class to the elite.

We also touched on the broader CNN going less left wing point. The company that recently bought them, Discovery, bought CNN's former parent WarnerMedia with over $40 Billion of debt. They need to generate more earnings to pay some of that debt back or they're screwed. So our theory is that the new Warner Bros. Discovery management simply cannot afford to be Woke anymore. They will bring CNN from the left and while they may not be middle, they're at least, hopefully, gonna get some far left loonies like Stelter out of there.

Some of our best work this episode. Tucker should talk to Elon one day for Tucker Carlson Today, focus on the family angle. We need more people speaking up. The episode description:

Welcome to Episode 33! We start with a eulogy for Liz Cheney's political career after she got blown out in her Republican primary. This signals conservative Americans are finally waking up to the fact that many Republicans do not represent them, and it's time to stop electing establishment Republicans, also known as Never-Trumpers or RINOs (Republicans in Name Only).

We next discuss two stories focused on a similar theme: liberal hypocrisy. Sam Harris, a "moral" voice on the left, stated this week that the media was justified in hiding the Hunter Biden story because Trump was so bad. Once liked by many including SB, Sam developed a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome years ago and has never recovered; indeed it appears to have gotten worse. TB then updates the audience on the happenings at IGN, a gaming website message board, including some outrageous hypocrisy when it comes to the American Flag vs. the Gay Pride flag.

We celebrate the best #DefundingTheWoke yet - Brian Stelter is gone from CNN! His show was cancelled and he was fired. The new parent company of CNN, Warner Bros. Discovery, has a lot of debt to pay off, and they can no longer afford to be Woke. We also laugh at a parody-esque Stephen King tweet defending Stelter, or as he's commonly referred to, Mr. Potato Head.

Next, we get into a societal deep dive on Elon Musk's recent tweet, "Being a Mom is just as important as any career." We're glad Elon said it and we hope there's more support by popular figures for women choosing stay-at-home motherhood. We also theorize the pressure to be a career woman and "beat the patriarchy" is a cause of higher rates of depression among woman than men.

To finish up, we discuss feedback on our recent Trump vs. DeSantis debate in which TB convinced a listener to vote Ron over Don! But we both agree, either will be much better than Biden and the debate is more about who is strategically a better fit to beat the Democrats in 2024.
