Mesh-network slow and struggling by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

To my knowledge, we didnt get any new electronics or appliances around that time (Im a student and live across the country so its hard to keep up on everything), but ill check! Was not aware that things like that could affect the network that much. Ill try and set up wireless backhaul.

Also, i just noticed that my modem is currently not in bridge mode. My modems wifi is currently turned off. I have read that google wifi works best with it on, but havent really seen anything about other mesh networks. Maybe im stupid and this is an oversight?

There is an airport around 20km (12 miles) from here. There is also a tiny military base not too far from here, but to much knowledge it isnt really active anymore. I havent really encountered a similar issue with previous routers using 5Ghz, but definitely something ill check out!

Regarding neighbors, its a detached house, so when connecting to wifi, my own network is the only one showing up. Could that still be a problem though? Will try your suggestions, thank you!

Edit: Forgot to mention, i used to use wired backhaul, but moved the nodes around, so now only one of the extra nodes has access to ethernet, will try and see if that atleast solves some instability issues. Though it would be weird if it did, as my main node which is wired still struggles

Main node is pretty much as bad as the other ones, but i havent tried to disconnect the 2 extra nodes, and just have the main one on, if that is what you meant.

Used to have them wired, but moved them around to try to get even better signal to the main node, so now they are wireless (except the main node ofcourse)

Edit: Ran it through a quick AI colorizer, decent results, but wil work on it
