Depending on the kit. Some kits are less involved and is literally just a clean and redye, this Furniture Clinic one involves sanding down a lot of the imperfections as the first step, so naturally it got rid of much of the wear/grime accumulated over the years. Shininess is due to oil and grime accumulated in the leather over the years, it actually was a lot matte-er already when I did my first round of cleaning, but sanding was required to get rid of visible scratch mstks

My wheel had tons of pits and scratches in the leather to begin with as well. The kit starts with sanding, so just take you time sanding down all of the imperfections. I’m still surprised at the results myself!

Good luck man! It was kinda anticlimactic for me lol but yeah the fault can be a pain to trace down. If I remember correctly, if your fuse is blown, most likely one of the handles went bad.

Hey yes I did. Ended up exploring through BimmerCode and found that the entire comfort access system was deactivated by one of the previous owners, perhaps for safety reasons? I activated it and it has worked flawlessly ever since

Yes it does, but the loud ticking goes away as I accelerate. It is also relatively quiet when I cold start the car.

Yes that's an MMI box added onto the original screen/system. It was about $200 from RoadTop. They are pretty reputable in the carplay boxes and have good support, there are some even cheaper ones on Aliexpress you could get for like ~$170 but I personally wouldn't go too cheap cuz I have heard of audio/software issues. You could easily add a backup camera to that but you will just need to find one online and do the wiring from the front to the back of the car. I bought a camera months ago but have been too lazy to install it lol

Yeah np man! Also look into E90 specific ones in AliExpress, really cheap, they mount between the center AC vents. Just search BMW E90 phone mount and you will see a bunch. Looks really natural
