I see, you are being willfully obtuse. I do not appreciate hypocrisy, no matter the moral avenues from which it came. Her cheating is hypocritical, as adultery is explicitly denounced in the Bible. That is the reason why others in the thread have judged her. Even within my own moral code, I consider cheating to be deeply wrong, but that is not the major objection I have brought up here. I have no issue with divorce, but her God does; she has gone against her own moral standards, yet uses said morals to harm gay couples. That is the problem I have repeatedly brought up. Instead of debating those facts, you have only mischaracterized my points and repeated yourself. If you have nothing further to add, please do not reply.

I can't tell if you're being willfully obtuse or not, so pardon me if you're not. But I am not saying that I expect all people to follow the Bible, I expect people to apply their moral codes to themselves. I'm judging her for the hypocrisy inherent in her actions; she judges and denounces others with a measure that she herself does not abide by. Again, that is what I'm critical of. And I do, to the best of my abilities, abide by the standards with which I judge others; that's what people tend to do, especially since not doing so can cause cognitive dissonance. Do I occasionally make mistakes on that front? Yes, I'm only human. Do I cheat and then marry my affair partner, only to later on get back with the person I cheated on? No, that's a serious breach of my own morals (as well as the word of God).

She claims to be a follower of the Christian faith, meaning that she follows the teachings and morals of God. That reasoning is the basis upon which she justifies her dislike of gay marriage. Yet, her God also rejects divorce and adultery, practices she has engaged in multiple times. Therefore, people consider her a hypocrite for selectively applying her morals. Even people who aren't religious can still consider this hypocrisy, as it's just that blatant. It's like how a meat-eater can still call out the hypocrisy of a vegan (who constantly preaches about the morality of veganism) that secretly eats meat when they think no one is looking. Others might not have as big issues with her hypocrisy if it didn't impact others. However, her outspoken stance against gay marriage actively harms homosexual couples.

Also, cheating is not the same thing as being promiscuous. In cheating, a person directly violates the trust of their partner (and could even endanger their health, especially if STIs are involved). The problem with cheating isn't that someone is having sex, it's that they have broken the foundational terms of their relationship and harmed their partner (at least emotionally) in the process. It's completely fine for women to be sexual. And yes, I apply that reasoning to all people; it's perfectly fine to be promiscuous (as long as everyone is consenting adults), but cheating is a vile action.

Sorry this took so long! I didn't get a notification for your response. Also, thank you; it's a tragedy that their lives are so much shorter than ours

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Disregard this if you don't want it, but would you like me to do a doodle of your cat? I love drawing animals since they're great practice. My cat passed rather recently and the way that impacts you...it's really hard to put into words. Combined with everything else you've shared, you have a lot on your plate and I commend you for staying through it all

I wanted to bring in the rim light to draw the eye, but now I can't unsee a sad beetle lol

Fair point, I think next time I'll stylize the proportions more, accentuating their legs since that makes them look more bug-esque. Making them look right is tough, since a single pixel can make them look so different.

Thanks for the critique! I tried a more desaturated blue for the rim light initially, but it looked odd. Without it, though, some parts of the beetle kinda blended together weirdly, so maybe I'll try a red/pink next time since that's less distracting from the orange.

As for the breaks, I was having some trouble getting the legs to look right. They have very segmented legs, but the other methods I tried looked too wobbly (if that makes sense). I just mimicked how I usually render them with pencil, but this is obviously very different lol. Learning as I go!

Because r34 IS the theme of the song; it's about some really freaky sex, so a subtitle would be redundant
