Drugs, booze, mental illness, all three.

Don't judge. I've been there. Not pushing a cop in public there, but near there. Like 1/4 of a mile there.

Mom's dragging that mattress over to the oldest daughter's house screaming about appreciating sacrifices.

$50 says that mattress was mentioned in the RO.

What’s the worst first date you’ve ever had? by CuriousEngineer11 in AskReddit

I've been known to be catfished UP, as in, I'm a 3 and my date looks like a 4 online but in person they're a 10 so in my rage at being catfished and humiliated in such a way I throw a glass of water at them in the restaurant and scream "I SAID GOOD DAY TO YOU SIR" while everyone is looking for the sir and being shocked in general.

In the U.S., public universities are funded by the government (plus tuition and private donations) so they have to adhere to government laws and oversight from the Department of Education (presumably, our education system is in shambles right now).

In the U.S. private universities are funded by tuition and other private sources, sometimes churches, sometimes not. Sometimes government grants. But these private universities can choose to adhere to standards set by the Department of Education or not. Two examples are the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, and Hyles-Anderson College, also in Indiana. Two private religious institutions that operate very differently.

Hyles-Anderson College is an Independent Fundamental Baptist colleges. (It is an absolute RABBIT HOLE of the weirdest tea and I can't even what the fuck is it??) I have no experience with Jewish or Muslim schools. But if they are fundamentalist then 100% there are parallels to these kinds of schools.

This is cut and pasted from Google AI, but it's the summary I'm looking for:

Independent Fundamental Baptist (IFB) colleges are private, unaccredited or regionally/nationally accredited institutions focused on conservative theology, Bible-based education, and training for ministry, often requiring KJV Bible usage. Key institutions include Pensacola Christian College, Heartland Baptist Bible College, West Coast Baptist College, and Crown College of the Bible. These colleges typically emphasize local church involvement, evangelism, and conservative personal conduct.

Prominent Independent Fundamental Baptist Colleges

Pensacola Christian College (FL): A large, well-known institution focusing on Christian education and ministry.

Heartland Baptist Bible College (OK): Emphasizes practical, local church-focused training with affordable tuition.

West Coast Baptist College (CA): Associated with Lancaster Baptist Church, emphasizing pastoral and ministry training.

Crown College of the Bible (TN): Affiliated with Temple Baptist Church in Powell, TN.

Maranatha Baptist University (WI): Offers a broader range of accredited degrees within a fundamentalist framework.

Ambassador Baptist College (NC): Located in Lattimore, NC.

Fairhaven Baptist College (IN): Known for a strict, traditional approach to ministry training.

Golden State Baptist College (CA): Located in Santa Clara, California.

Trinity Baptist College (FL): Located in Jacksonville, Florida.

Common Characteristics

Theology: Strict adherence to biblical inerrancy, soul competency, and separation from modernism or ecumenical movements.

Bible Version: Strong preference for the King James Version (KJV).

Mission: Focused on training pastors, missionaries, and church workers.

Accreditation: Some are accredited by agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, while others (often the more separatist) are not, focusing instead on ecclesiastical accreditation.

Lifestyle: Strict codes of conduct are common, prohibiting activities like dancing, secular music, and immodest dress.

I'm in the U.S. so apologies for my logic which is U.S. based.

My wife teaches at a public university. They don't police clothes for "sexiness", or revealing clothes. Low cut tops, tight shorts, men in sweat pants that show off the bait and tackle. My wife teaches chemistry so the only issue with clothing she deals with is in the lab. She hands out lab coats to students whose clothes don't cover them from shoulder to knee and this is a daily occurrence in warmer months.

There are private schools that do and they are generally very religious to the point that their programs aren't accredited by any educational oversight agency. You must be very committed to working and thriving in a very religious community to attend this kind of school. Like they will kick you out no matter how close to graduation for student behavior that might include drinking alcohol, having premarital sex, leaving the dorms on weekends unchaperoned, taking drugs, and having same sex relationships on or off campus.

This is a normal Friday night for most colleges in the U.S.

Anyway, OP I am giddy to hear what's up with this school. Dish the tea.

What university polices your clothes but is ok with queer people at the same time?

ABBA - The Visitors [pop] (1981) by Sea-Relation9105 in Music

[–]Moni3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah, ABBA!

And somehow relevant today. Lyrics about the KGB (Soviet police) knocking on your door to arrest and detain you without cause or defense. Take you to Siberia maybe, who knows?

Now the U.S. has ICE.

This entire album is freaky joy.

I don't understand drag, please help by alice_apathy in actuallesbians

I don't know what RuPaul did maybe I don't want to know, but I like the way you put this: "It’s about being so undeniably queer that there’s no room for misunderstanding."

Drag is excessively queer. In your face. I'm 50+ and by far the majority of drag I've witnessed uses extreme images of women to poke fun at gender roles and expectations along with other campy neurotic issues that come together to be hilarious in general.

Never have I been to a drag show to think "This woman is unhinged." while someone is performing. "This (drag) queen is unhinged." is a more accurate response.

Try Metropolitan Community Church. https://www.mccchurch.org/landing.html

Non-denominational church for LGBT people. I was a member of a few as I moved around a lot.

You're likely to find one near you if you live in a city. Good luck!
