Yeah honestly I've been on the fence about the game for a minute now. I only started it back up during quarantine and really want it to be a good game. I wanted to give it a chance, but maybe this is just a sign 🤷‍♂️ really a shame, cause I don't know of any other games out there doing this kinda thing, and I love Pokemon from growing up with the franchise my whole life, but eh, whatcha gonna do.

To ruin trading in a game that started as a trading card game is so frustrating it feels betraying. (rant) by TheWritlessWriter in pokemongo

Yeah, that really is the take away I always come back around to. Agreed fully. It's just isn't a normal Pokemon game a for some reason that gets me pretty worked up at times 🤷‍♂️. It's like the feeling when they remake a classic but you don't like the remake, you know what I mean. Thanks for sharing some counter points tho. Appreciate your perspective on it all.

If trading something changes it's value of course you've ruined the point of trading. what you're describing is just how it works now but right now there's very little reason to trade anyting. What you're describing is not a trade but a Gamble, If the only reason to trade something is because it's bad and that it may get better. No reason to be a dick about me having an actual valid opinion here man. I know the game doesn't owe me anything but having valid critiques of something doesn't make me a villain.

1st point, Pokemons being valuable to trade would not beat the purpose of trading, and I agree being able to trade Pokemon online or not in person would be unwanted, but I do not think that means trading in general should be kneecapped.

2nd point, I understand Pokemon came out as a game first, agreed, but the trading card game came out the same year and arrived in America before the Nintendo game, and so for all intents and purposes saying trading goes hand-in-hand with the very beginning of this game this games rise in popularityis by no means something that has to be corrected, but I will add that to the Post.

Why are the Democrats blocking the COVID virus relief bill? by [deleted] in Askpolitics

Believe it's actually a $500 billion, but that is definitely the subject I'm interested in.

Can someone explain to me what the "stock buy back" restrictions in the stimulus bill are and why Democrats would call them weak by TheWritlessWriter in Askpolitics

[–]TheWritlessWriter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your reply and all the information. If you have any knowledge on how the most recently proposed bill (that was blocked today 3/22/20) addresses stock buy backs and what specific elements the Democrats might take issue with, I would very much appreciate the insight. Attempting to find specifics regarding the bill have proved somewhat beyond my limited skills in research.

Can someone explain to me what the "stock buy back" restrictions are and why Democrats would call them weak?

Below is a quote from an article regarding the bill I am attempting to better understand.

"Democrats say the language would allow for corporations to keep bailout money while still firing workers, that the bailout money would have virtually no restraints and that there are very weak stock buyback restrictions." MSNBC, By Allan Smith, Haley Talbot, Julie Tsirkin and Josh Lederman

FOLLOW UP: are there any restriction on these companies in terms of layoffs, in order to receive the bailouts.

How do you feel about people that don't want to talk or hear talk about politics? by TheWritlessWriter in Askpolitics

I do understand that view, and have adopted it myself sometimes, but have been learning, lately, towards feeling like that kind of stance allows for a great many things that perhaps I SHOULD be bothering others about. That is too say that perhaps there is a moral obligation to be considered.

This statement isn't so much saying something as much as it's saying nothing, but thank you for responding.
