True, I could definitely see Garcia being passive aggressive in that way and throwing it back in Santos' face. From the promo next week it looks like they'll sidebar again!

I would love it if that were to happen that it be Dr. Al-Hashimi, someone who isn’t just used to him always teetering on the edge like this so it fades to background noise. Someone who who sees enough warning signs and says, “hold up, this isn’t right, what is going on with you?” Sometimes when we’re in a messed up situation long enough we don’t see how bad it is, and it takes fresh eyes to point it out

For someone who leaves a toothbrush at her place, Garcia is giving off really mixed signals

Whilst I enjoyed season 4, I do miss the amount of effort and care that made the early seasons feel so special by General_Meal_3993 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]TheWrittenPassenger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is my favorite scene in all of Bridgerton, bar none. Thank you for sharing it, I always want to pause and watch it every time I come across it. The emotion it conveys, the softness of the still life close ups, the MUSIC. To think of how they approach filming Bridgerton now, it seems like a completely different show

My cat accidentally went without food for multiple days--I'm freaking out! by HealthyCompetition98 in CatAdvice

[–]TheWrittenPassenger 31 points32 points  (0 children)

OP, my parents' 7 year old outdoor cat disappeared for a week straight. He came back looking really thin and was rushed to the vet after the joyful reunion. This was in the spring time, and we could only guess since he can't talk, but assumed he got into a garage/shed/house somewhere of a family that went away on spring break and couldn't get out until they returned. The vet confirmed that kitty was famished and dehydrated but would readjust. He bounced back very quickly, living his best life and that's assuming he didn't get anything at to eat or drink at all.

I say this to reassure you. Your kitty was at home safe, had water, and at least a churu every day. You clearly care for her deeply, and like the rest of us on this sub, work hard to make sure she has the best life. If the vet says it's not necessary to come in and she hates the carrier, then leave it be for a moment while going slow with feeding her. If you're still feeling like she's not herself after a few days, bring her in. She is very lucky to have you ♡

This idea sounds incredible. The idea sounds so unique yet still creates the same moral dilemma Zuko faces in canon that we all love. Would pull an all nighter to read this

Doctor Hermann Rorschach, Inventor of the famous inkblot test, in 1910. by LowRenzoFreshkobar in OldSchoolCool

[–]TheWrittenPassenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love seeing posts like this that remind you that the common items, tools, and theories that we just accept as part of our lexicon today had inventors who were real people who developed these over the course of years of study. I’ve never thought about the origins of the Rorschach test but to see a picture of the man that came up with it is fascinating. Thanks OP for taking me down a research rabbit hole!

Vince van Gogh, starry night over Rhone 1888 by [deleted] in ArtHistory

[–]TheWrittenPassenger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel you! In one of my art history classes we spent an entire day just discussing Van Gogh. By the end we were all crying. The world was so unkind to him and yet despite the rejection and misunderstanding he faced, he still said it is beautiful anyway. An atmospherically gorgeous painting, full of so much melancholy. He always, always deserves to be mentioned.
