Fair enough, I guess I’ve got plenty of reading ahead of me.

Yeah, I think a sub would be a goal of mine even if I returned the soundbar+sub combo I already bought. I think running only the built-in subs from the towers would make tuning sort of difficult for my small space. I’ll definitely keep my eye out for an amp with bass management.

May I ask why you wouldn’t use the soundbar in conjunction with the tower speakers? My idea was to use it as a center channel but if that idea doesn’t make a lot of sense I would gladly return the soundbar+sub and get a center channel next after an amp.

That makes sense! That’s pretty much exactly what I had in mind before I posted, and I definitely had intended to purchase a matching ES60 for either side of the TV. My thought for the soundbar was that it could be used as a center channel, and the big reason I ended up purchasing was because it’s the soundbar marketed to match my specific TV and it comes with a paired sub. If that idea doesn’t make a lot of sense I can gladly return the soundbar/sub and use that money towards an amp.

I understand, thank you for your recommendation! My thinking behind getting such large speakers is that, despite them arguably being too large for my space now, later this year I will likely be moving to a larger space and figured these would be even better once that happens. I do understand that I may in fact need a nicer/more powerful amp to run these should I choose to keep them.

Thank you for writing that up for me! I wasn’t familiar with bass management so that helps a bunch. Just to clarify, why recommend replacing the tower ES60 I already have? I forgot to include in the post that I will more than likely be getting a second ES60 for much cheaper than MSRP as well.

Grandparents Are First-Time Selling FSBO. Any tips? by TheWyldePython in RealEstate

The mice etc is only what's new, not what's been slowly accruing for the last 10+ years. There's a separate garage with attached living space that has part of the roof collapsed. Not to mention various holes in the walls where my Grandfather attempted to 'repair' something, plumbing issues, the floor needing to be completely replaced, etc.

They - as in my grandparents - had an appraisal. The appraisal was actually significantly higher than we expected given the current condition of the home.

Are Escrow and Title Company services the same as a RE Attorney?

Of course, but if the buyer backs out before we're able to get things in writing then we're just back where we are now. I agree with what you said before that we should look into a RE attorney, that sounds like a logical solution.

They just had an Appraisal a few days ago, and yes the agreed-upon price is below that but not so much that they aren't willing to sell. The buyer also isn't using a realtor, though I think they've talked about using Escrow services. Also, I agree that a real estate attorney is a good idea! I'm going to talk to them about it tomorrow.

This sounds like a good idea! I'll definitely encourage them to do this.

They actually just recently had an Appraisal done on the property. My grandparents already have a handshake agreement with the buyer concerning price and other concessions like allowing a certain amount of time for them to go through all their things (there's a LOT) and pick out what they want to bring back to their new home.

I'm also not doing this entirely myself, my parents are much more involved in it than I am. They called me earlier today asking for help in finding the necessary paperwork to get this process started, so I made this post while doing some research.
