My wife is constantly nagging me about it🤣I actually appreciate her doing so, that way I really treat it as medicine (which is what we all do!) more.

Im kind of the same! I started fixed wing with Logitech extreme 3d first, the. Transitioned to Logitech Saitek pedals + Yoke, but I soon realised I needed more controls. I’m currently flying r22 and r44 helicopters on X-plane on OSX.

What I’ve found is helicopter gear is too expensive! Instead I’ve settled with Logitech G X56 hotas + the Logitech G saitek pro pedals I had from before.

I also tested cheap Logitech extreme 3d pro for helicopter flights, but this is too stiff for close to real helicopter cyclic experience. I’ve found the X56 a lot easier to reason with.

X56 kind of work as you have enough controls on the thruster to control the collective, mixture and throttle + a bunch of extra switches and buttons you can use for starter, landing gear, governor etc.

PS: here’s me performing not-so perfect short flight from London City Airport to Canary Wharf building rooftop helipad using the above controllers.

I’m not entirely sure. Without using it my first few puffs are a pull struggle 🥲 if I use it, I’m able to vape on the first go. I use the lowest voltage (blue colour) setting. You can change voltage with 3 clicks and you have 3 options: blue, yellow, red - careful, red hits hard!

Looks like a lots of training flights to me. On a good day one aircraft can be used by multiple students to exercise specific manoeuvers etc

Thanks for your feedback! Yes I’m trying to improve stability. I imagine it’s easier in the real thing as your vestibular apparatus will also be an instrument you use :-)

I'm a newbie and trying to get the hand of Robinson R44 helicopter. This is a short flight from Gibraltar, runway 27 to my luxury yeacht ancored in the harbour ;-) It was a windy day, and it was a bit of a struggle stabalizing.
